Rec. Brilliant horror film where everyone gets killed and the bad monsters win
Rec 1 or 2 out of curiosity?
I've only seen the first one, I don't think the second one has been released in the UK yet but from reviews I've seen it's very good but from my personal experience, rec 1 is one of the best horror films I've ever seen

I just mentioned cos it's just gotten a limited cinema release and no one seems to know that it was out. Worth a look if you liked the first.

Uh... Hm. In Human Caterpillar the good guy/s all lose. Does that count?
Same in Drag Me to Hell.

I'm actually going to go see it today because the first was only in the cinema for about a month and I want to be lucky enough to see the second one in cinema

Star Wars Episode III and V.
Just realised the SIth win in both the second movies of the triologies.
Except Episode III isn't the second in the first trilogy?
in my head the first movie dosen't count.

Why? It was the best one of those three. Second one seemed clichéd and melodramatic and the third was just a dramafest

Watchmen is the only one I can come up with

Rorschach sends his diary to a newspaper. They need something to fill the paper with, something stupider from a read to fill up a slot. Whether or not they actually pick up his diary and run with it is a mystery.

If they do, the new world built up by Ozymandias will crumble and everything will have been for nothing as the world slips back into war.

If they don't, the bad guy wins in creating world peace.

No one knows what happens. Kinda adds to the ambiguity of the ending and whether or not it Ozy's actions were justified.
Aha, thank you. I interpreted the ending that it was implied that Rorschach won, but I'm not good at interpreting movies and stuff, and often overlook other outcomes than the one I see first.

The Usual Suspects
Watchmen
Empire Strikes Back
Fellowship of the Ring (Boromir dies, Gandalf is at least temporarily out of the picture, and the Fellowship breaks up; Bad Guys 3, Good Guys 1 for still having the One Ring, but at the end, the Bad Guys had a higher score)
Pan's Labyrinth

Can't think of any movies right now, but the WH40K novel Storm of Iron, where
the bad guys win and the good guys end up dead or worse.

The Hannibal Lector films. Manhunter, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising. Can Lector really be called a "Good Guy"?

Exactly, the first movie was an entire different leuge than the other two, I had way much more of a SW feeling in it, but as there is only one of that one and two of the other, they are separeted in my head.

The Godfather?
Of the various gangsters, Michael is definitely the good guy and he wins with the string of murders at the end.
Hes only the good guy relative to the others.
I know, but in the context of the movie that makes him a good guy. By the second movie he's murdered his own brother and so is no better than the others.

I won't defend the second or third or say you're wrong in your criticism, but the third had the least cringeworthy and embarrassing moments. The first movie had the most.
