It was too quiet.

Marcus had been disappointed to find that his fellow hunters of the night had not yet returned. So he did what he usually did when he found the overall quietness and stoicness of the soldiers annoying.

He pulled out his violin and began to play. Starting off slow, calming and steadily speeding up to a passionate frenzy, the music travelling throughout the castle, to the forests below

"Well, maybe Father Gorie is correct. I am not a regular angel Luther... I committed a sin that the Lord thought was so heinous he almost killed me. But he decided to exile me to earth for the rest of eternity instead."

Eosphorous smirked. "So would you still like to associate with me?"

Valdori followe the scent of the Lycan for as long as he could, but daybreak was encroaching, and he thought it best to leave it for the time being. After all, there would always be dogs as long as there were scraps to scavenge.

Heading back to the castle, Valdori traced a finger down the scar that lay between his eye and chin, and tried to recall what had happened. A few years beforehand, he had enjoyed a bountiful feast at a family home in this very village. An excess of blood is almost ehphoric, an overdose in the most beautiful way. His delrium came at a price however, he had been attacked. Quite viciously as well; the scar on his face was not the only one from the battle, his back and chest were covered in deep gouge marks. Had he not just had a "full meal" as it were, he would have surely died.

It was a Lycan. No normal one either. This one seemed to be a whole new kind of vicious. He remembered how monstrously large it was, how it's claws had batted him around like he was a plaything. The only way he managed to escape was by outmanouvering it, the beast was slow and Valdori took advantage of it. Still, it had taken him 5 days (and plenty of fresh blooded children) to recover.

One day... he thought, walking into the castle I'll find that Dog-Man. And when I do... he thought, his face fixed a menacing sneer I will spear him with his own wretched fangs...

He pushed on the main door of the castle and walked inside.

I was hoping that my character could be referring to you, give a bit of personal vendetta angles to the story like?

Marcus heard the castle doors open, and stopped his violin playing, curious at who was coming back at such a late hour.

"Hello Valdori, have a pleasant night?"

He asked as he descended the grand staircase

Valdori flinched as Marcus came down the stairs. He had his violin in one hand; he must have been the only one in the castle. Valdori enjoyed Marcus' playing. It was melancholic with a hint of disparity and sorrow. Perfection.

Vladori straightened up and pulled out a pouch of blood from under his cloak. He squirted it into his mouth and let it work it's wonders. Child blood. The purest of the pure. It was like the most aged of wines, the finest of delicacies. He vampiric face was still twisted in his demonic state as he looked up at Marcus.

"I caught scent of a Lycan before." he growled. "I would have had him if not for this wretched Sun."

He offered the pouch to Marcu as he walked up the stairs.

"Vermin." he stated. "That's all they are. Vermin."

His growl was becoming more feral now. The very thought of Lycans was enough to send him into a rage.

Marcus adjusted his mask as he walked beside Valdori, looking into the pouch and smiled

"Well, well...looks you were busy tonight. You always did have a way of finding them"

But at the mention of Lycan's Marcus's face twisted beneath the mask

"Yes. I met one tonight actually. I had just killed a unicorn and was draining it when it approached. I would have fought it but the woods are there territory, and the last thing I needed was to be surrounded by those...dogs" He spat the last word

Sure, that'd be great. :) Though the only reason he'd really attack you is if you were preying on a village, which doesn't seem too out-of-character for you, non? Although, how about you can't recognize him in his human form, and his scent is only vaguely familiar to you? So we can prolong any clashes until the most appropriate moment. I wouldn't want one of us being killed off so fast.

Ilkka drew a deep breath, the chill morning air swirling about his nostrils in smoky tendrils of heat. His lips pulled slightly at the corners, as if smiling were unnatural for him. He nodded to Ian. "I would be most interested."

Scrutinizing the fellow lycan's face however, he added, "But I have no desire to murder or wreak havoc. I prefer to keep as civil a mind as bloodlust will allow." A contradiction, for sure, to his enormous stature and thick accent.

"If there's nothing else, then...?"

Sorry about not posting, mid-terms...all week...

Jason queitly rode his horse through the thickening woods towards the nearest town he could find. Outside in these parts was dangerous, especially at night... or so he had heard. He kicked his horses flanks to make it move faster. Even though it was morning, he was certain lycans could still attack.

The gates of the barracks opened up and 5 men left it. Some of the men on the upper levels of the barracks called them crazy for hunting at this hour, but they were determind to eat something other then the normal slop that they were fed. At the head of the pact stood Julian, his bow slung across his shoulder as the gate shut behind him.

"You're all a bunch of fools!" yelled the guards behind them. Julian turned to them in response and yelled back 'You saw what they were feeding us for a morning meal! I'd rather eat my own arm off then eat another dish of that crap!" The few men Julian was with moved into the woods and Julian followed them, leaving the claims of insanity behind him.

The group followed the nearby stream hoping to find some type of game drinking from it. The river shined with light as the sun began to is into the sky. Small animals skittered and ran from the party and into the tall grass. The man in front stopped suddenlly and got low to the ground. He looked back at the others and motioned them to do the same and pointed to a large Unicorn on the otherside of the stream. The rules of hunting applied in this scenario. The man who spots the game get's the kill. With that, the leader pulled out an arrow from his quiver and shot the unicorn in the back leg.

The Unicorn let out a loud whinny and ran across the stream with the arrow in it. "Aim a little to the left next time." Said Julian as he ran past the others and tailed the game. The horse soon left his sight, but was dripping blood from the arrow. Using that Julian, followed the horse until something about the trail caught his eye. A second trail of blood crossed with the unicorns and went off in another direction. The group caught up with him and waited for him to continue on his path as he was the best tracker of them all. He decided to leave the Unicorn be and followed the second path to a clearing.

In the center of that clearing lied the mutilated body of a young maiden.

Hello to everyone. TTT offered me an open spot over twitter a couple days ago and I thought I would take it and try to get back into RPing.

Gregory prowled through the tree's surrounding a small clearing, limping slightly on his hind leg. He was tired after fighting off a bear. He heard the sound of horses.
Growling, he spotted a group of men, obviously out hunting.
He leapt into the clearing, standing over the body of the maiden. He gnashed his teeth at the humans.

Kaem was late and the sun was close to rising.
"Thank steel I've made it back without a trail"
He muttered under his breath as he jumped off his horse and climbed the castle brick by brick up to his room.

He opened the window and vaulted inside.

"AAAAaaahh" He sighed as he closed the window and drew over the curtains, the beauty of all his fine weapons, silk, clothing and armor lay upon his eyes, precious jewels he had been collecting for over 400 years lay, decorating the familiar sights, a crossbow from Indonesia, a golden and jewel decorated cup from Egypt, necklace from France and a open display case filled with different kinds of rare potions and elixirs the scientists in Britain had been cooking up, back in the old days.

"What a great life I've had, only if I can find someone worthy of my knowledge and possessions.... that's the hard part"
He groaned and stepped outside, holding his jewel cup in hand, filled with virgin blood.

He walked downstairs, taking a few sips on the way.
"Hello gentlemen, I see the firm grasp of sanity keeps you at ease"
Kaem walked into the living quarters where a giant dining table and a fireplace lay resting, along wit paintings on the walls and big black curtains covering the windows.

"I do hope your minds will stay as intact as your physical form, I wish you all best of luck, feel free to join me"
He said as he walked inside, sitting down at the dining table in the middle and enjoying the rest of his blood. The crackling from the fireplace made the whizzing wind decrease, and soon warmth and emptyness filled the room at the same time. Dawn was breaking.

Jason heard a growl off into the woods to his left and he quickly dismounted, grabbing onto his bow and leaving his horse. He knew that his animal was smart enough to run if it sensed danger.
He quickly nocked an arrow and waded through the dense underbrush, finally coming to a clearing where a werewolf stood over a corpse and a few men(maddawg is human right?) standing with there weapons raised looking at the lycan.
Jason tried getting what seemed like the leaders attention, and then raised his bow to aim at the lycan.

Elisha walks into the room which contains the main members of the Brood.

"We have a problem, there was at least one Lycan was tracking me last night...I fear they may plan on attacking soon, or at least hunting us down as we leave..." she trails off, a small slither of light creeps through the curtains, shining upon the wall.

She steps over promptly and pulls the curtain right over, "so we shall need to be ready for a war at least, and from now on, do not kill any decent host you find, merely infect them and bring them back here, we shall need all the help we can get soon."

Iceland, Pennsylvania didn't exist at this point...so I doubt you'd be able to get a crossbow from there.

"Of course." Ian said to Ilkka, setting off at a brisk walk towards their village. He was in no rush, so didn't see a need to change form. He couldn't help but glace over at Ilkka. The large lycan kept surprising him, he showed none of his true features through his appearance.

"You're one of very few who make an attempt to keep their mind in check. When I don't hunger for them, I can even stand the company of humans. They're much more sociably than most lycans."

Kaem listens closely as his superior gives him orders.
"Yes my princess, I shall obey your command, but for the time being, I shall return to my slumber"
Kaem calmly said as he headed down into the basement and climbed into his coffin.

Edited, and sorry for the small post, brain fart, and, going to bed anyway :)

Julian squatted down by the body of the girl and stared up at the Lycan in awe. Three of the five men in his party fleed in fear to the woods while the 4th shakily readied an arrow. The shot left the bow and wided left of the Lycan and rather taking the chane to fire another shot, he followed the rest of the group in their retreat.

"Very intimidating." Said Julian as he calmy looked back at the retreating men. "I'm sorry, was I interrupting your meal?" He asked pointing down at the bloody corpse in front of him."

Gregory growled again. Arrogant human
"<color=darkred>This is no meal of mine! I am merely protecting her remains from being vandalized by huntsman like you."
He stood his ground, although he was slightly nervous of the bow from the other human across the clearing.

I know, didnt read your first post correctly, sorry
Be back in a bit... eating dinner

Jason saw the men run in fear, and saw an arrow go wide, sinking into a tree to his right. He looked from the man to the lycan, ready to help the man if need be.

Ilkka smiled fondly at the remark. "I have found the same. And I have known insanity, once before."

A whirlwind of snow, devoid of life but for the whispering roar of wind. The chilled Earth beneath his feet, nutrients killed away by the encroaching frost. An elk nearby, half buried already, starved by the loss of life.

The worst storm he had ever witnessed, even within the far reaches of his mountain home that always bore a cap of ice. Had caves or even bushes or some meagre form of shelter been available, it would have been bearable, maybe. But with nothing more than recurring mounds of wintry white, there was little to hide in from Nature's wrath. A desert of snow.

Days. Weeks. Months? Going in circles, most likely. Sometimes, the greatest decision seemed to be to surrender. To gnaw away at ones own skin to the fleshy inside, in hopes of finding some warmth stored deep away. But skin is rough, and hope too strong to ever truly die.

As they passed among the towering trees, Ilkka ran a hand through his matted hair. Were it brushed, it would probably look rather soft; but years of neglect had split the ends and dirtied the roots. But his scalp felt warm beneath his palm, a faint glow of life.

"I have met wonderful humans. Beautiful humans. But they are akin to roses; pretty to look at most often, for sure, but always laced with bugs and thorns that ruin yourself."

...a tender kiss...

He took a deep breath of morning air, before looking to Ian. "You seem finely sane as well. It is... nice, to meet another who does not take pleasure in the predator so easily."

"A Lycan that dosen't eat humans? Now I've just about seen everything." thought Julian to himself as he stood up slowly from the body.

"Alright, sounds fair, but I should tell you that I'm not here to defile the body in anyway. I just saw her blood and traced it back here to investigate it." He explained calmly as he motioned away from the body. "Why don't you just let me take the body back to the barracks and we can see she get's a proper burial?"
