At this point, I can just waltz into a Marvel movie and walked out being enjoyed by it after the end credit scene.

Did they just give away the big monster and battle in the trailer? Like that's the shit we're not supposed to see! Show us something besides the epic finale!
Considering Ego is supposed to be in this film, I doubt that was the finale, possibly not even something related to the finale. I could be wrong though.

OT: Drax stealing scenes, Baby Groot being awesome... Yep. Love everything about it.

I think I'll enjoy this film. I very much liked the first one.

So, basically as trite and cliche as the first one? :(
Its also the most blatently "Disney-ish" of all the Marvel movies.
Um, how?

If anything, Guardians is entirely self-referential, to the point where it's not only every space adventure story thrown into a blender and served in a crystal glass, but also the exact same film as the Avengers. To the point where I can (and have) summed up both films with the same words, and the only reason I was picked up for referring to Avengers was that I used the term "airship" rather than "spaceship."

So, here's me wondering whether the success of Guardians is a good or bad thing for the supposed Farscape movie. :(

Exactly.

And mind you I am referring to modern Disney movies.

Not the old school classical movies.

Wait, what do you mean "exactly?" If you're claiming that modern Disney movies are self-referential, then...well, no. If the modern DAC has a theme, it's been more or less subverting expectations (e.g. Frozen) or being incredibly creative (e.g. Zootopia). Not that classical DAC movies were lacking in creativity either mind you.

Guardians of the Galaxy certainly subverted expectations, in the most corny way possible:

That's not subverting expectations, that's just being random. Quill could have done anything at that moment and it would be just as random and nonsensical.

Also, it's followed by the team overcoming the effects of the Infinity Stone through the literal "power of friendship" (oh, and Quill isn't even human, which is a revelation that only comes after said property allows him to survive).

I really liked Guardians but even I wont pretend the ending wasnt stupid. Though Quill is half-human, since his mother is human.

I watched the first one with high expectations (reviews and recommendations and so on).

Not making that mistake with this one. Watching it, that is.

The comic books themselves are probably nothing like the movies.
The Guardians of the Galaxy count a raccoon and a walking, "talking" tree among their members. If the comics aren't like the movies, and took that shit seriously, then they must be hot garbage.
Implying you can't take Tree People:

And talking animals:

Seriously
One, a talking raccoon does not equate to a fucking talking lion, especially when he is voiced by Liam Neeson and is that world's version of God.

Two, I think we both know what I meant by serious.

1. There is also talking Beavers in the movie, and in the sequals talking Rats/Ferrets.

2. No that is badass/awseome.

This is serious:

There is nothing badass or awesome about Snyderman.

Baby Groot sounds almost exactly like my son!

I sound like the racoon, but with a permanent cold.

...

A fat, permanent cold.

That fight was awful. Also they should've given Wonder Woman the kryptonite spear, because that's what any intelligent person would do.

I can't stop watching this trailer. I was in a metaphorical line to watch the sequel. Now, this movie can not arrive soon enough. Especially, after a dreadful year for blockbuster movies. Great Trailer!

The first is still my favourite in the MCU by a fairly significant margin, so I'll definitely be watching this one.

Also, that Drax scene was perfect.

Than she would have been stabbed by Doomsday.

On topic.

Screw this movie, I hate Guardians of the Galaxy and I certainly will not enjoy its even more stupider sequal. The sight of it makes me sick for how painfully corny it is.

Or you know she could have thrown it at Doomsday while Superman distracted him. You know since as someone trained with traditional Ancient Greek arms would surely know how to throw a javelin.

Or Doomsday would have the endurance to remove it before the Kryptonite kills him.

Think about it may only pierce the flesh but could not fully penetrate through and he just rips it off, and worse he crushes the spear.

Honestly all these complaints is because of that fact Superman died, when we all know he's coming back to setup Justice League.

I knew this before the movie even came out, I knew this when Doomsday was first revealed.
