I always hear about people having old Mosin Nagants. You're so lucky. I wish I had one of those.

I wish I had any gun. When I legally can I think I'll buy a nice pistol, just to have and shoot. Any suggestions?
Just buy a mosin. surplus rifles from the 40's cost under $300. You should also try to score an SKS. They're pretty awesome too.

I bought a 64yr old M44 here in New York for just about 120 dollars. One of the best investments I ever made.

Edit: I also feel the need to point out how bullshit some firearm laws are here in New York. For instance I can't buy a 30rd magazine unless it was made before 1984. What the fuck is the difference between a pre 84' 30rd STANAG and a new 30rd PMAG?

Bought mine at the Buffalo Gun Center, which is where I had my little 30rd magazine incident. But seriously, if anyone knows the difference between a pre 84' 30rd STANAG and a new 30rd PMAG please don't hesitate to contact me.

I own a double barrel shotgun, i don't know what its name is but its pretty old. My grandfather passed it down to me, after it fell down a deep hole into rapids. Surprisingly it survived. When i got it it was taped together, but it still works fine.

Now if I was any good at HTML I would have been able to just get this picture up here. Regardless, this is a possible project a couple of people will be involved with. For those of you with not so keen eyes it's a Remington 700 outfitted with Picatinny rails, Troy Industries folding sights and a modified magwell that takes 30rd STANAG. The only real problem we've run into is figuring out how to make the magwell accept 5.56x45 30rd magazines. We might just ahve to buy an aftermarket kit that uses 20rd mags.

My only projectile weapon of any kind is a C02 Pellet Gun replica of the SIG SAUER SP2022. Since all I want to do is shoot non living targets, it's fine for me. BBs are cheap.

If I actually had the inclination to own a real gun, I'd have my eye on the civilian FN F2000, or P90. As sidearms go, for revolvers I'd probably go with a Colt Python, even if its a bit cliche. For semi automatics, maybe something ridiculous and over the top like a Desert Eagle or Automag.
Concerning the FN FS2000, be prepared to pay around 2,500 dollars. I handeled one and dry fired it some and it felt realy nice. I still have to decide if the one with the rails is a better choice than the one with the integrated optic.

This thread just came to me and begged: "Please come inside and say the following: 'My penis'". I'm sorry I couldn't resist :S I wont point out my thoughts about weaponry and just leave very quietly.
You should have just not come here at all. I don't walk into a videogame thread and call everyone a fat, antisocial neckbeard. I understand that people have differing intrests than me and that it's foolish to try and pass judgment on another culture without knowing anything about it.
Don't say I don't know anything about guns, I do. You don't know me at all and you're taking my post way too seriously. If I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry (no sarcasm here), but I only made a fucking joke.
Besides, it takes some nerve to say that machinery that is made 90% for ending any sort of lifeform and 10% for aesthetics is a culture.
Edit: where did I judge anyone or anything in my previous post? I said that I wouldn't comment on the topic in a serious way since it would only end in a pointless fight noone can win.
See, now you made me, you should have just ignored my post in the way I'm going to with your upcoming ones.
Ummm... A gun is a piece of machinery built 100% for moving a very small pin a very short distance forward. Not to kill things, not to look pretty. Otherwise everything from starting guns to guns loaded with rubber/bean bag ammunition would be (by definition) broken.

I love my Glock 12. Lightweight, smooth kickback, good stopping power, and easy to conceal. A great weapon to have in a crime area like I live in.

My step dad owns a Semi-Automatic Mossberg shotgun, I made the mistake of firing it when it had slugs loaded in it >.<

As for favorite I've always like the FAMAS, but being an MGS fanboy I might be just a little biased.

If I could only have 1 gun, it would have to be my Glock 21.

It's lightweight, compact, has few moving parts, easy to disassemble and clean, is damn near indestructible, has a high mag capacity, has a powerful round (.45 ACP), and it's what most police and military uses so there will never be any shortage of ammo or parts.

I've only fired a handful of guns in my lifetime, but the .357 Magnum gets my vote. I favored the 4 Inch barrel because it wasn't too Nose-Heavy, and felt great in your hand.
