while i do not currently own a gun (my dad has an air rifle, but that isnt mine and besides it's terrible) i plan on getting one...

... well, if they are legal in england. i was never very sure about whether they are or not. there seems to be some disagreements about it further up, so i'll just see how that plays out.

I'm actually a pretty good shot with my trusty firearm.

In case you didn't guess, I don't own a gun.

Ahh, didnt see the favorite part.

If it comes down to favorites, then I will have to go with my M1 Garand,

Dont know why, she's over 50 years old but damn if she isnt still my favorite.
I second your opinion it's almost impossible to not love the history behind that rifle.

I only own a .38 special for home defense. But if I came into some money I'd love to buy the nice 12-gauge hiker's shotgun I saw at the local shop. If I were to find a lot of money it would be a tossup between getting a Mauser C96 or H&K MP7.

I have two air rifles which I use for hunting, but shoot fairly often with cadets with L98 L1's & 2's, as well as LSW's. I suppsoe i have to say the LSW is my favourite, as I'm one of the few qualified to use it, I regualry get one, and since it chews up ammo, I get extra.

C96 Mauser. Why is it my favourite well look at it and you'll know:
A stripper clip? Is it just that visceral feel of pushing down the bullets into the magazine?
And where'd you get the 9 mm version? Must have been expensive.

It is Ireland. The only benefit of having two terrorist groups fight each other for about 40 years is that if your willing to spend the money (and have the balls) you can get anything. Pushing down a stripper clip makes it feel like your really getting ready for some shit to go down. And it wasn't too expensive 250ÂŁ.

When I turn 21 I'll be getting a MK23.
When I save up enough money I'll be getting a Thompson, and a PS90.

A thompson is gonna run you a serious amount of cash. A proper working one can easily reach 15,000$ at auction.

My favorite gun that I own is my WASR10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WASR_series_rifles
I love using it on paper targets and clay pigeons on the ground. Ammo has gotten expensive for it so now I only bring 60 rounds to the range at a time.

My dream gun is a Steyr AUG. I fired one and it was very cool. I also like the AR15 series guns like your brothers Panther. They are fun to shoot, but a pain to clean I've heard, and break more often then AK series. I prefer simplicity and reliability like my WASR10.
I didn't know you could purchase automatic weapons. Were do you get them or are you in the army or something

Cool. Except that part about terrorists (actual terrorists, or just Irish and English folks duking it out regularly?). It must be rough...

I have the following:
Springfield .30-06 WW2 vintage (been upgraded with a 3-9x variable scope..holds 1MOA easily)
Winchester model 69 .22 (I have 2 versions..one is a match type with a bull barrel and those micrometer sights and the other is a standard bolt action)
2x M1 Carbine WW2 vintage
Springfield .30-40 Krag carbine.. vintage? yep.
Western Field 20 GA bolt action..old? yep.
I have some wal*mart or k*mart semi-auto .22 that my parents got me when I was a teenager.

The large majority were my grandparents guns.

My dad has some generic double barrel shotgun for shooting clay pidgeons. I'm not sure what the name of the model is.
you should ask him to show it too you sometime, I used to hate shooting clays but I grew into it.

I have a Remington 870 Express Magnum 20 gauge shotgun, it's a 4+1. Its the basic model and I love it because its reliable and it does everything I need it to do as long as I trade out the barrel based on my needs.

Its just a good old shotgun

I like my dads .308 Winchester as well. You cant beat it on the range and you can even slide a dollar bill between the barrel and the wood. It's a hickory stock and it has a great nikon scope that has the distances for the round to drop out to 1000 m. Its a beast.

Right now I'm saving up for an Bushmaster AR-15 because I have problems in my neighborhood with people breaking in, my dad already separated a burglar from his kneecap a few years back but I guess he never told his friends after we told him to pass on the message. I hear hes walking now but he wont be able to run anymore, that's good because its hard to steal when you cant flee the scene.

you can get anything you want as long as you have the permit

of course you can get it without the permit all you need to do is stand on the US Mexico border and wait for a drug and gun seller to come by.
