A flamethrower is probably not the smartest weapon for home defense (wouldn't want to burn my own house down) but, failing that, the gun I've enjoyed shooting the most would have to be a PS90. Either that or some sort of revolver, though I'm far too active a sleeper to risk having any weapon under my pillow...

I'd go with the Cerebral Bore from Turok 2. I wouldn't havr to aim in the darkness and through blarey eyes. Plus it would give me some satisfaction to see any would be theives running for their life as a homming drell attempted to drill into their brains...

I'd be for having a gun nearby or somewhere in your room, hidden in a location only you know about, but having a gun under your pillow or right beside you on a table doesn't sound very cool or badass- it sounds paranoid. Unless youre all living in seedy areas or have a lot of past experience with break ins etc I think youre more likely to injure yourself or an innocent friend/family member.

That said, if I were to ever own a gun to keep in my room, hidden or locked- it would be a Sig P226- only firearm I've ever used, though.

I'd say Lancer from Gears of War. The chainsaw would come in real handy in the cqc. From the real-life guns, I would probably pick Colt 1911, MP5 or G36.

I have my Springfield Arms 1911A1 .45 ACP right next to my bed, but I wouldn't want it under the pillow per se.

Same gun same place my friend. I also have a modified Mossberg 500 12 gauge, and a Winchester model 94 .30-30 rifle in my room.

Nice. I have a vault that has a .308 Palma modified Winchester 70, 2 remington 12 guages, an old Sears & Roebuck pump 12, and a 7.62x39 SKS. Also, enough ammunition to defend myself from most third world nations.

I'll stick with the M1911A1 a la Johnnyallstar. I know a friend of mine who sleeps with his 9mm Glock under his pillow. It's probably not a good idea for me since I toss and turn at night.
