men insult one another, but they don't really mean it
women compliment one another, but they don't really mean it either

My ex dumped me for reasons that still have me a little fucked up more then a year latter, and i know she still bitches about me because I stopped talking to her.DrgoFx said:I'm starting this because I'm honestly curious...In my own experience, the asshole trait is found in both guys and girls. Guys are more upfront about it, girls are more subtle. So here's my question for you guys, have you ever had a GIRL mistreat you? We all know those stereotypical stories of guys mistreating women, so I want to know if I'm not the only one that's been mistreated by women.
Just to clarify, I was encouraged to do this through this image:

Pretty much this.Iron Mal said:At the end of the day, people are dicks.
Actually I have an opposite spin. Toby doesn't come out smelling like Roses, but taking advantage of people willingly and often is a classic dick move. There's a limit to determination, this guy should have called it quits a while ago. But if you validate someone by taking things from them even if you don't care, you really don't have a leg to stand on.JoJoDeathunter said:Sure, assholes can be either gender but eh... that girl in the FaceBook comment doesn't sound like that much of a jerk, sounds more like "Toby" is a creepy stalker. If you ask someone out and they aren't interested, then you back off and look else-where, following them around and showering gifts onto them isn't going to suddenly make them like you.

Girl jerks tend to like backstabbing. And last time I checked, a punch to the face is a bit less fatal than knives in the back. Plus, at least I can see the punches coming and know who's throwing it.
This happened to me once.Mcupobob said:OT: Not really mistreated, but I after a breakup with this girl she would call me up out the blue to tell me shes dating someone new. Then called me a few weeks later to tell me she broke up with them. So I moved 3 states and 200 miles away HAHA.
I've never understood why she thinks that I would want to know. The two possible results are that I would be hurt or that I wouldn't give a fuck, neither of which are particularly desirable.
But yeah, people are terrible. Though I have to say that I prefer male jerks more than female ones, because female ones are more subtle and sneaky.
It's like choosing between a pirate nemesis or ninja nemesis. They're both badass and can easily ruin me, but at least I can see the pirate coming.
"My problems with women"? I never mentioned any problems I had with women specifically, I have an issue with it being viewed as acceptable or even ideal for women to behave that way.MarkDavis94 said:He wasn't really being strung along, the girl binned his valentine cards and basicaly gave him a massive fuck you. Yeh she's being a dick, but I think he could have got the hint, that this girl isn't all that into him.Zaik said:Pretty common.
The only problem I ever had with it is women are often encouraged to be jerks by society and defended afterward, while guys are not.
I don't even need to make any examples, responses in this thread are plenty enough.Jeran Korak said:Sounds to me like a girl taking mild advantage of an extremely obsessed stalker type. But then again, I've met stalkers who can't take a hint from being beaten up and left in an alley by the person they stalk.mireko said:"IN YEAR 10 I BROKE INTO YOUR ROOM AND STOLE SOME HAIR FROM YOUR BRUSH SO I COULD PUT IT IN MY SHRINE AND YOU CALLED THE POLICE OMG WHY U SUCH A *****"
Anyway.. to be honest, not really. There are always assholes, of course, but on the whole I've run into far more obnoxious/dickish men. There's plenty of evidence right there. It wasn't creepy stalkerish nonsense, he was being strung along the entire time. Naive? Yes. Stalker? Hardly.MarkDavis94 said:Although in that picture that guy comes across as a bit of a stalker, so I don't blame that girl for trying to avoid him
Obviously I don't know that entire situation, but from how that guy put it, it just makes him seem like he has some sort of scary obsession with her.
Also I think it was a bit harsh to blame your problems with women on 'jerks' and then call me and 2 other people 'jerks'
She took advantage of him once only (with the tickets), in Year 10 which means she was either 14 or 15, after he had been bugging her since Year 7. No-one's perfect and certainly not when they're a early teen. Sure, she shouldn't have accepted the tickets but all of us have made mistakes in the past and I personally would be annoyed with someone if they hadn't got the message after coming onto me for three years. I'm not going to judge her to be a jerk by one mistake at that age.ObsidianJones said:Actually I have an opposite spin. That was amazing when I watched it. And I find truth in that.Superior Mind said:Louis CK had an opinion on the matter.
?Here?s the difference, to me, between boys and girls: Boys fuck things up; Girls are fucked up. That?s the difference. Boys just do damage to your house that you can measure in dollars, like a hurricane. Girls, like, leave scars in your psyche that you find later, like a genocide or an atrocity? That?s the difference between boys and girls. And it becomes the difference between men and women, really. A man will, like, steal your car or burn your house down or beat the shit out of you, but a woman will ruin your fuckin? life. Do you see the difference? Like, a man will cut your arm off and throw it in a river, but he?ll leave you as a human being intact. He won?t fuck with who you are. Women are nonviolent, but they will shit inside of your heart.?
He is probably cutting out what would really make her a jerk, the parts where she actually led him on. Chances are when she took the tickets she made some comment about how much she appreciates everything he does (blah blah blah). Just saying we don't have the full picture, probably because this guy cut out the real manipulations from the girl that kept him coming back and doing/giving things for/to her.JoJoDeathunter said:She took advantage of him once only (with the tickets), in Year 10 which means she was either 14 or 15, after he had been bugging her since Year 7.
