I am a ***** and get put down for it constantly. I'm a lot more upfront than a lot of girls I know. I don't play the backstabbing games. I had an ex boyfriend who is more of a girl than I am in that respect. He "claimed" he was being honest and whenever I had something going on and had to cancel plans(work or family event i couldn't get out of)he acted like he was hurt and then would cancel most of our plans we made. I rarely cancelled. Personally if he had just been more upfront about everything we would have gotten along better.

Sure, assholes can be either gender but eh... that girl in the FaceBook comment doesn't sound like that much of a jerk, sounds more like "Toby" is a creepy stalker. If you ask someone out and they aren't interested, then you back off and look else-where, following them around and showering gifts onto them isn't going to suddenly make them like you.
If she wanted him to stop, she shouldn't have accepted his various attentions. She did what so many girls do - took advantage of a poor sap that she knew was crazy about her. Friend of mine used to do this all the time. "It's not my fault if they want to give me things," was her line.
I was about to say exactly this.
Yeah, the dude should have got idea that she was leading him on, but it doesn't make her any less bitchy for doing it. I'm glad the dude called her out on it.

Back when I was in college there was this girl I dated for a couple weeks, and then broke up with because I got the feeling that she really wasn't all that into me. However I kept hanging out with her because she was generally a fun person to hang out with, and she'd pay for shit with her daddy's credit card, and she generally had weed or knew where to get it (hey! this was college you're not allowed to judge : P ). Later on I would find out that she had been talking shit about me behind my back the whole time, telling people that I'd follow her around like a lost puppy dog, and how I was so obsessed with her and so on. Needless to say after this I pretty much told her she could go fuck herself.

The next day I found a message on my phone from her going on about how she'd forgive me if I apologized, of course I never returned the call and didn't see any more of her for the rest of the semester. Fast forward to next semester where she ended up following me around trying to get me to pay attention to her again, and me ignoring her. This usually involved her coming to my dorm room and my roommate lying about me not being around. Eventually I started dating another girl (who I had met through her no less) and was spending most of my time with her.

Around this time my roommate convinced her that I had been hit by a car and was in the hospital. All this of course culminates in her calling my new girlfriend right after we had just finished getting freaky to ask her if she could give her a ride to the hospital so she could visit me.

This, was how she found out I had hooked up with her friend.
Ah, good times ...

All humans have the capacity to be dicks, jerks, etc. . .

Remembering my college psychology and sociology courses, boys tend to be more immediate and physically aggressive in their disagreements. Girls tend more towards long term social and psychological torments.

In other words, boys are dicks but girls are pure evil :p

I wonder, is the ratio of women to men higher in organizations which practice psychological warfare?

Guys and girls both do assholish things to exploit one another. It's part of being human, selfishness is an inherent part of human nature.

I'm inclined to agree with those that say guys are more open about it, whereas girls tend to backstab and manipulate - however, I am obviously not saying everyone is like that. I've come across really openly bitchy girls in my time as well.

I like how people are commenting that "Toby" in the OP is some kind of stalker. No he wasn't, he was a young man. It does take awhile for guys to stop acting dumb around girls they like, but after his experiences with the ***** he probably has hardened his heart enough to be able to say NO to girls.

Hell I was buying dumb shit because I wanted an excuse to talk to the check-out girl when I was 20. It's a learning process.

My solution to all these problems regarding people is to avoid socializing in general. I'm perfectly capable of being social, people just irritate me to no end. So I keep a handful of friends who I've known for years and can trust. People have called me "House" at work, because I'm a misanthrope who is very good at his job to the point where I can get away with things. I'm also incredibly blunt.

In my experience, gender makes no difference. Though the only difference is how each sex chooses to approach situations. Men tend to be more upfront while woman tend to be passive aggressive, schemers and deceitful.

Dude LMAO XD

Basically this.

I can take dudes being complete and total dicks because they honestly will come up to your face and do it. At least with guys(A good majority) you can tell whether they hate your guts or not.
Women, as much as I hate to say it, do tend to be more subtle and backstabbing when it comes to being a dick to someone.

I have no choice but to applaud Toby in that Facebook post. While I do feel sorry for him for having put up with her shit for so long for what amounted to no reason, I feel I must give him props for finally just letting go and telling her how it was.

OT: My 2nd relationship involved a girl that was a "dick". Needless to say, that relationship headed south in a hurry.

God Dammit Woman you are awesome! Excuse the language. In all honestly I CANNOT STAND people like that, whether it be guys or girls.

If you don't like someone then tell them upfront. Sure you're afraid of hurting peoples feelings, but you're going to hurt them even more when you continue to lead their deluded husks along.

[HEADING=2]Long Story Short: It's people like that who make Noob Saibot such a dick.

Look what you've done to him people!![/HEADING]

Damn dude. My last relationship was an abusive one that ended up in me dumping her ass on prom night after 3 months of barely being acknowledged, especially around her friends.

Louis CK had an opinion on the matter.

?Here?s the difference, to me, between boys and girls: Boys fuck things up; Girls are fucked up. That?s the difference. Boys just do damage to your house that you can measure in dollars, like a hurricane. Girls, like, leave scars in your psyche that you find later, like a genocide or an atrocity? That?s the difference between boys and girls. And it becomes the difference between men and women, really. A man will, like, steal your car or burn your house down or beat the shit out of you, but a woman will ruin your fuckin? life. Do you see the difference? Like, a man will cut your arm off and throw it in a river, but he?ll leave you as a human being intact. He won?t fuck with who you are. Women are nonviolent, but they will shit inside of your heart.?
OMG I was laughing all the way through that quote. Well done sir.

You've best explained my feelings on the subject matter. I'm now off to watch Louis C.K. do stand up.

That's what I thought as well.

"You've been trying to get something done with me all these years. And each time I have rejected you. Get the hint!" .. even though accepting tickets then taking them away for herself is pretty bitchy.

My ex cheated on me. Acted like she was the victim, still does.

But all people are dicks, all people can be cruel.
unless she was raped I really don't see how you can even spin that.
If she was raped I wouldn't of posted this lol. She cheated, I didn't leave her, then she left me 2 weeks later. So I got fucked with twice, my fault I guess. After that I told her we can't be friends and now she cries and starts becoming depressed but doesn't want to be with me...I don't get it, I don't care anymore.

Women >_> lol
That is exactly what happened to me. To the letter. She still wants me to be her friend to cry to about her problems with her new boyfriend THAT SHE DUMPED ME FOR. Girls are freaking insane sometimes.

Even though she was might have been manipulating him the entire time? saying things like "OMG you got me tickets?! That's amazing thank you! You are such a great friend how could I ever survive without you?" Things like that lead a [certain type of] guy on thinking that he has a chance and he will keep trying till he has either had enough or she finally tells him that he has no chance.

Of course girls can be dicks . . assuming we're speaking metaphorically of course. It's humanity, not maleness, that causes dickishness.

Damn, that facebook post was one solid burn. I don't know of an aloe or healing balm that would heal that. Seriously, even if magic was real the best healer would look at that and say "Nope, nothing we could do".
