Half-life 2: Episode 3 What will happen?

Story wise, no idea what they'd do. Way too many options given the ending of Ep. 2.

I just hope Alyx stays in the game. That was the first ai I've actually liked. For one thing, it was helpful, for another, it wasn't completely stupid. Was kinda creepy actually..

Would be annoying if they killed off Gordon though, after playing so many games with him, having a Half Life without him would feel like just another Blue Shift.

Actually not at all, I think that Valve has been making great games, but they've moved on from HL2 for a while...a long....long while.

I doubt we'll go to Xen again in the next episode, though that would be cool and I hope we do in Half-Life 3 at least.

I do NOT think we'll use the Portal gun at all in Episode 3.

Actually I don't have many theories about it at all. I just think the ending will take place on the Borealis and the episode will be the journey to the Borealis and the adventures that happen along the way.

For those interested (Half-Life fans will probably already know) the Borealis was originally going to be in Half-Life 2, but they cut it in the end. You can find it in the Missing Information mod and play through it, but the version on Missing Information is very fixed up. I still actually have the leaked beta of the game on a disk and I recorded a video of the original Borealis level, Circa 2003:

It was so unfinished at the time (well actually the whole leak was) I had to use Noclip to get through a couple of doors. But it's actually the most complete level in the whole leak. I recorded a video of the opening level of the game too which you can also find in my youtube profile.

In 20 years Valve will release that they were really just making HL3 the entire time, scrapping E3. The game will be the greatest game ever and no other games will need to be made, ending the gaming industry, at which point the world explodes when somebody beats the 1000000 hours of gameplay.

Since the portal was closed at the end of Episode 2, I'm pretty sure there's no need to.
