Yeah, the number one sold video game in the U.S last year, was terrible.nathan-dts said:I only know them for the Halo franchise and that's terrible.Neosage said:I care, all of bungies other games have been great. And this should be no exception.
That is genuinely odd. Getting exited by a trailer then loosing that excitement when you see the second, cooler half.Doc Theta Sigma said:This has been bugging me for quite a while. When I saw the original teaser that Bungie released I have to admit I was intrigued. But when the full trailer was released I can't say I was excited. I just didn't see the point in it. It seems that Bungie are pulling a George Lucas and trying to fill in the gap between the ending of Halo 2 and the start of Halo 3. But does anybody actually care what happened?
While I agree it would be interesting to see the Covenant invasion of Earth from a perspective of someone other than an eight foot tall walking tank. Sorry to reference George Lucas again but The Force Unleashed story wasn't exactly ground breaking. As soon as you saw the Rebel insignia on a flag at the start of the game, on the main characters home no less, I think most people guessed what was going to happen. But anyway, I've been rambling for too long. Let's hear your views.
Didn't even give the opening cutscene a chance. For shamemokes310 said:Nope, I quit caring after 5min into Halo 2. I thought they went in the wrong direction witht he series and havent cared at all.
Was answered? More like "is slowly being answered."Trivun said:The question of where the Master Chief was is answered with the comic Halo: Uprising, but as for the whereabouts of Johnson, Keyes and the Arbiter and Special Ops Commander between stopping Tartarus and building the huge bunker near Voi in Halo 3, we have yet to know.
The trailers are great, they look awesome, but it takes a bit more than pretty graphics to get me by the short ones.Eldritch Warlord said:Didn't even give the opening cutscene a chance. What? I meant the opening cutscene of Halo 2, it's longer than 5 minutes. Sort of a joke you see? A person writing off a game (and a sequel to a game he loved no less) before he even starts playing. Sort of a humorous occurrence and not entirely true I'll wager. Or if you skipped the opening and went straight into gameplay all you're doing is the tutorial level. Or in yet another scenario you play on co-op and skip into gameplay, you're playing the "get used to the game" level. Not really a terrific indicator of how good the game is or what direction it's taking.mokes310 said:The trailers are great, they look awesome, but it takes a bit more than pretty graphics to get me by the short ones.Eldritch Warlord said:Didn't even give the opening cutscene a chance. No there was invasion, they only bombed major population centers and strategic targets as the Covenant didn't want to damage Earth more than necessary (so several large communities still survived). The human population was reduced to about half a billion (not even nearly the closest humanity has been to extinction, at one point in prehistory there were no more than 12 fertile females on Earth).Madrak the Red said:And there wasn;t really any invasion, as I understand it. Earth just got bombed back to the stone age. There are 500 000 humans left. Out of (presumably) 10+ billion.
lol, yeah, poor guys, cursed to be stupidly wealthy for the rest of their existence...Wouldukindly said:In some ways I feel sorry for Bungie, the slaves of Microsoft, forced to make Halo games forever...someone should start a 'Free Bungie' campaign.
