I care, all of bungies other games have been great. And this should be no exception.
I only know them for the Halo franchise and that's terrible.
Yeah, the number one sold video game in the U.S last year, was terrible.
Just because it sold well doesn't make it good.
It had a terribly short and bad campaign, a bad story, bad multiplayer and bad gameplay altogether.

Oni was awesome and I pity you for not playing it and to be honest so was marathon.
I care because i'm an avid halo fan and hope bungie take more time to please/regain their loyal fanbase then pleasing the idiotic masses that demand something new and original with each game.

Yes... It is terrible. You mistake Mediocrity, allowing many people to play it, for greatness.

This game just feels like a gimmicky Halo, if the shield wasn't gimmicky enough.

Hey, OP here. Don't get me wrong, while I don't see the point in the game, I'll probably get it. Like many people in this thread, I'm hoping for more of an emphasis on stealth and strategy than charging into a room because you're an armoured giant and nobody will fuck with you.

Bungie have got an opportunity to really reboot the franchise so to speak, here's to hoping Microsoft doesn't over hype it and ruin it.

Ah, I see. I must have been mistaken, as the Sole Arbiter of Quality says that one of my favourite games (within which I have found a lot of layers of meaning and a great deal of variety and flexibility of play) is bad. I must immediately defer to the Sole Arbiter of Quality's divine judgement and forget the hours of enjoyment the game brought me and millions of others, because it is deemed "bad".

So it is written, so shall it be done.

Well if that is your opinion, whatever. But the Halo series were not terrible and I didn't even mention that.

The real question is "who isn't?"

the only thing now is to argue on the varying degrees

I care mainly because on the PS3 you have Resistance 2 that offers a richer co-op experience than Halo 3 and also Killzone 2 that may offer a more atmospheric and more solid solo campaign (then again it may not), so it will be interesting to see Bungie flex their muscles and see if they can reassert the Halo franchise as the premier console FPS.

In some ways I feel sorry for Bungie, the slaves of Microsoft, forced to make Halo games forever...someone should start a 'Free Bungie' campaign.
Halo 3:ODST will be Bungies last halo game, and they have split with MS for some time now.

It'll be interesting to play something Halo-related, but not a Halo game, or as MC specifically. They're novelty games, really. Collect 'em all!

Nothing gets the juices flowing like a mediocre expansion pack to an already mediocre first person shooter running at a mind-blowing 640p.
As Half Life: Blue Shift proved.

I know, that was completely overstepping the boundaries, I apologize.
I liked Half life:Blue Shift? It was just like new maps for the HL,oh,I see your point.
