I'll probably get it when its price goes down. I wouldn't mind the multiplayer maps and Halo was pretty good as a single player.

Some people throw random nades, but they only get 2 [I hope you know how many that is, as I can't hold 2 fingers in front of your face.]In halo you can potentially get 20 grenades, and throw them all, and you can hold up to, what, 9 or so?
You jump god knows how many feet in the air, like a cracked up fucking rabbit or something, and you rely so heavily on vehicles on some maps it's retarded.
I used to play Halo little boy, you can't tell me anything about it I don't know.
I was a halo fan since day one of halo one. And the second I played CoD4, I hated Halo.
My beloved game had deceived me into thinking it was good, and CoD4 showed me what real gaming is.
Btw.

Not an M-16 with stopping power. No triple frags.
The fact that you even said 'Every one uses that' shows that you are bad when you do play it, and that you know nothing of the game.
If anything more people use the P90 than anything else.
Fucking idiot.
Don't try and start a flame war with only half the facts.
You argument is broken and your logic is flawed.
DON'T try to flame me, ass hole.
He pointed out that sheilds are more logical than health because at least there is a base in reality for it to occur.

In halo, grenades do not kill the player instantly and require at least a follow through to get a kill, whereas in call of duty the grenades can kill teams by just a fluke shot. So it doesn't matter how much you have.

Vehicles change the tacitcs in games to make them more expansive and broad. You dont have to rely on then to win, as there are always counters to them.

Also, the M16 is the best weapon hands down. One burst can kill anyone, even juggernaughts.
Since people like to prestige alot in the game, the P90 would not be used as much because it is at a higher rate.

From what i have seen, his argument was not flaming, it was a response. Your response, though, was flaming. His logic was not flawed, it is correct.

[To add, my brother is one of the mic screamers and guess what? He loves and plays COD more than halo.]

Halo 1 = good.
Halo 2 = Better.
Halo 3 = Okay, its getting really old.
Halo Wars = Wow, really? What a joke.
ODST = Fuck off Bungi, your fanbase is all under the age of 15 at this point.

and theres already ANOTHER one in the works?
Have we forgotten the repeated series of Final Fantasy?

Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIV

Not to mention the other hundreds of spin offs and other Final Fantasy titles away from the main series.

Why does no one complain about it? It's like Mortal Combat (with a story line) geared for weaboos.
I complain about it a lot. I cant stand the games.

The live action trailers were fun but it won't make me care about Halo. I genuinely looked forward to Halo 3. Then I found out that it wasn't worth the wait after all... It was disappointing. Then again if it was anything less than the second coming of Jesus in video game form it was going to be disappointing considering all the hype it had.

All in all, I may get this when it inevitably falls by £20 in price. Although I do applaud the no-more regenerating health. Nice to see Bungie making things challenging for a change.

Fanbase all under 15?
I'm 19.
So that statement is FALSE.
You don't understand though. Because you like halo, you must be under the age of thirteen, and continueally shot into the mic.

It's basic logic.

Basic logic?
I know plenty of others over the age of 13-15 upwards to a guy I know aged 20 that plays Halo.
I will admit that plenty of their fanbase is a bunch of prepubescent teens that just yell into the mic, but there are others that play.
So saying that the entire fanbase is of people under the age of 15 is just idiotic, ignorant, and a complete lack of actual logic.

Article Analyzes World of Warcraft and What New Titles Face In Beating It

The Escapist has posted an article on "The Secret of WoW" which is an in-depth look at the many many reasons why people still play World of Warcraft. The article also makes suggestions to new developers about what they need to include to take on the giant! http://www.powerleveling-gold.com

The author points out the obvious skew in the industry when he says, "Ten million subscribers. At $15 a month each, that comes to $150 million a month and 1.8 billion a year. http://www.powerleveling-gold.com/ If you could capture just one in ten WoW users and get them to jump to your MMO, you'd be a massive success by industry standards".
Here's a look at the article, take a look and reply with your comments below:
If I had a double bacon cheeseburger for every forum post titled "Why do people [still] play World of Warcraft?" then I would have died of a coronary a year before The Burning Crusade went into beta. http://www.powerleveling-gold.com/ Now, mostly these posts are from basic internet-level malcontents and trolls, or people who can't grasp the idea of different people having different personal tastes. But I want to take the question seriously for a minute, partly so that you can just drop a link to this article the next time one of those threads appears, but mostly because I think that hopeful MMO game designers might be asking themselves the same thing.

I have the vain hope that it will be simpler and less thought out storywise. Things were better when it was vauge, like the first game, Halo CE, which had no stupid underlying themes to it. And the underpowered, overwhelmed, anxious feel really gave it the right to be one of the best games I've played. If so, it has the potential to be a great game.

If, on the other hand, it tries to be what the third game tried and failed at which was a "Humanity and the honorable aliens who united with us out of rightousness kicking the evil alien scum off of Planet Earth once and for all." Then, it is doomed to fail, well, whatever it is that Halo titles that aren't total succeses do anyway.

On a side note, I am kind of happy for the map pack that comes with it because I don't have XBL.

I have to say something. A lot of people say they didn't get their moneys worth out of halo 3. while i like halo 2 way more I would say I played Halo 3 until It was worth the money. Also, (this could start an arguemenet) how is halo milking with three games and a expansion and half-life not with 2 games and 2(and maybe more) expansions?

Ok. I was kidding about that part. Although I do find it easier to sympathise with a female protagonist. I figure it's something to do with my upbringing. Only had a sister, all my friends were girls and my dad worked long hours. All the same, I can't see how I could feel for any of the group of people in a context. You're in an army so you're fighting a war. Quelle suprise?

Whatever, I'm not interested in war games. First of all, I like a story to follow in my games. I understand that you can have a story in a war context, but if I was to read book, I wouldn't read a war novel for example. So if you assume that I won't be interested in that side of things, you'll need something else to keep me hooked. But what is it? Moving around in a unit, ducking behind cover and sometimes hoping in a car type thing? Come on, I've seen this stuff before.

I don't trust her. Firstly, she's ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) and they have a lot of fingers in a lot of very nasty pies and also have a bad habit of not telling you enough to avoid trouble. Secondly, she's a frakkin' Cylon. *grin*

(Apparently the scenes between Tricia ("Six") Helfer and Nathan ("Mal") Fillion were a hoot to watch being recorded... even without Alan ("Wash") Tudyk's hazing.)

Wow?
Really kid?
You do understand that a game can't be skillful... it's a game. Only the players can be skillful, and it takes more skill to play a game where bullets kill you, instead of jumping up and down spraying each other, and then meleeing in a vain attempt to kill your opponent.

And anyone can pick a post apart, your not special for it. Don't think you are.
Honestly, it's funny how Halo fanboys always get so defensive when their beloved game is insulted. And then they always go to the stupid ass suit, saying that makes the game make sense.
It doesn't.

I can tell your trying so very hard to annoy the piss out of me, but it really doesn't work.

Sorry.
I've played Halo 3, and I saw enough nade spamming to last a life time. No matter what you say, I saw it.
Your 'logic' can't replace that.

People jump, throw nades, jump throw nades, jump, throw nades, jump, shoot, jump, jump, jump, shoot, jump, shoot, melee, melee, cry.

Pretty much in that order.

Also, when I said you had a advanced vocabulary I was obviously being sarcastic. Are you some kind of drooling idiot that you can't pick up on sarcasm?
You said people "Crotch a lot."
Now, while that line is funny as all hell, I don't think it's what you meant to say.
My god.

Well, if by skill, you mean "see person, pull triger" then yes, CoD 4 has that. A lot of that.
Stalk3rchief said:
instead of jumping up and down spraying each other, and then meleeing in a vain attempt to kill your opponent.
You spray and pray way more and CoD 4, and the jumping is replaced with crouching. And the melee is replaced with a knife. All in a vain attempt to kill people.

Because it does. Unlike in CoD 4, where every suit is basically the MC's suit but with regenerating health instead of shields. Makes way more sense than CoD 4.

I've played CoD 4 and have seen more grenade spamming than all the halo's combinded. No matter what you say, I was there. And I never denied nade spamming in halo 3, I just said CoD 4 has it more(hey, that rhymed!)

Your 'logic' can't replace that.
At least I am using logic...

People jump, throw nades, jump throw nades, jump, throw nades, jump, shoot, jump, jump, jump, shoot, jump, shoot, melee, melee, cry.
Yep, standard CoD 4 gameplay. But more Juggernaught, marteydom(sp), and replace the jump with crouch.

Pretty much in that order.
In CoD 4, yes.

Also, when I said you had a advanced vocabulary I was obviously being sarcastic. Are you some kind of drooling idiot that you can't pick up on sarcasm?
Yes, I picked up on that. It's called "I used it back at you" I see you use reason and logic a lot too...

You said people "Crotch a lot."
Now, while that line is funny as all hell, I don't think it's what you meant to say.
Yes, I wasn't really paying attention. That was my fault. I meant to say crouch. I was kinda typing fast.

Your god lied to you.

And again, you avoided the question "how is CoD 4 more skillful than Halo 3?"
