Also, gun control is good for you.
Just like the government sticking a big black dildo up your ass?

It's good for your anus!
Um... I... Really?

So... Did you have an opinion or did you just want to harass me?
Do I have to bash your fucking brains in for you to understand that I disagree with your stance on gun control?
Do you realise there is a difference between arguing and insulting? I've reported you for that comment. You don't need to get agressive when someone has an opposing view point.

Read the judge's quotes again. Do it.

Do you think it is a judge's job to believe so fucking much? He's not a preacher...

Wow. The last thing the world needs is a spoiled selfish brat getting too worked up about something like this.

You know what would be awesome?

If every time someone was shot, the people making/selling the guns would be held responsible...

Also, gun control is good for you.
Wow. Just wow. The wisdom and insight of this statement is overwhelming. This is liquid truth.

Too bad people around the world will never listen to it. Its really, really sad when you think about it. I bet it never crossed their minds to just ban guns.

No, but it would help if you said something.

I don't know anybody who would say gun control is a bad thing, to think otherwise is just crazy given the world we live in.

This is just some retarded attempt to shift the blame on videogames. He must have been mentally disturbed to have killed his parents over something like this.
The way i see it, its just an attempt to shift the blame from inadequate gun control laws. The americans can't lose their guns now can they. Lets blame all the violence on games instead of giving out guns like candy.
I don't think so; it wasn't his gun, it was the father's gun. It should have been better secured, yes, but there's nothing against leaving it lying around. And not all Americans are gun-nuts, sir, just like not all Iraqis are suicide bombers and not all Brits have bad teeth, please don't generalize.

Umm, if he was caught sneaking the game into the house and got it taken away, HOW DID PLAYING THE GAME CONTENT RESULT IN HIM KILLING PEOPLE? he didn't even play the fucking game, Halo 3 has nothing to do with the murder, the kid just has severe anger issues.

Straying now from the topic. Aside from the mentally ill, if there were no weapons that points and shoots, I'm finding it hard for people to come and actually kill. Guns have distance. You don't need to see the pain you're causing to the defender.

Unless you are mentally ill, I see no person enjoying that experience. A contorted expression for their own need. No sir, I believe that you see life in a horribly depressing view.

Perhaps I'm seeing it in a different, maybe even in a foolish light.
Different light. You don't have to mentally unstable, though it helps: People get shot every day, in such things as robberies. If you wish to defend yourself at all, a knife won't help against a gun, and are you really sure you'll not want to shoot the man pointing the pistol at you to save your own life and perhaps that of others?

The main point of robberies is to gain something unlawfully and against the owner's will. You really can't do that unless you have something to threaten with. I'm assuming people don't go and find people in specific stores and go in to that store for the specific reason to kill. I assume the reason a robber would want to shoot someone is to deter anyone chasing him (which works, I think). They don't shoot to kill (unless, they are mentally ill).

And, using your example; I doubt you'd be able to pull out a gun or a knife when you're being threatened with a gun pointed at you anyway. You've got a guy with a gun with a twitchy trigger finger due to all the adrenalin going through - you really want to test him?

The human race is full of these people. It doesn't matter who you respect and who respects you back: if there is more than one person, one person will disagree with the other one on one point or another, and so long as there is a way to kill someone, mankind will use it. Whether it's guns, knives, fire, poison, bare hands, if it exists, humans use it. Taking an optimistic stance on this issue is folly because it's absolutely ridiculous. You can't possibly expect everyone in the entire world to get along while more than one person roams this earth.

A few points to make.

1) The father was an idiot for having a gun in the house that the kid could get at, teenager or not.
2) The kid obviously has mental issues.
3) It's not a video game's fault that the kid was unstable.
4) I'm thankful I live in Canada where gun violence is slightly less prevalent.
5) Anyone with any shred of intelligence realizes that if you kill someone they are dead forever. Period.
6) Video games are obviously not for those with mental issues or those who have a problem separating fantasy from reality just like those with addiction issues should stay away from alcohol or drugs. ((Although you should stay away from drugs anyway and use alcohol only in moderation.))

I find it odd that his father requested leniency despite being shot by him. Just doesn't make sense to me.
Its still his son.

Well have fun playing in jail. Poor kid, i hope they gave him the psychological treatment he needed instead of just locking him up.
Maybe, but he killed his mother and attempted to kill his father. If I'd been the father, I think I'd want to have him locked up for fear of a repeat performance.
I as well. Why I'm never having kids, they betray you as you go on.

But why was the lockbox unlocked, and the kid have the experience with a gun to load it with ammo (If the gun was in the box loaded that's even worse) and fire it? Videogames are the fault my ass, it's always psycho people.

Also when I read the title I thought it was referencing games that called themselves "Halo Killers".
According to a news report a long time ago, when Halo 2 release date was delayed by a year a man threw himself of a cliff, a real fan

@Xvito (sorry I didn't want to quote that wall o text and I can't get the hang of editing quotes without screwing them up)

I don't think you are wrong. Not in the least (with the exception of guns being great tools for hunting but a single fire 22 cal would do the job and no one needs a cannon to take down a deer). I just think you can't expect the world to create a big fire and everyone throws in thier guns. Would it be nice? Yes. Just unfortunately unrealistic in this day and age. Maybe one day all the resources needed to make gunpowder will dry up.
Yes, but we have to start somewhere, be it by throwing some guns into a tiny bonfire or make it illegal to make/sell guns (at least some of them)...

Woah! Dude, you need to chill out.

Also, you probably don't need to bash my brains out, you could instead start with STATING YOUR OPINION... Yes.
