As i've said time and again, I won't use steam because I like to be in control of my games and how they work. So the chances of me using Origin are someone between slim and i'd rather lick shirley crabtree's armpits.
I see this every once and a while and it confuses me. Steam gives you the ability to play offline. Hell, it gives you the ability to burn an infinite number of copies of your game w/ the CD key if you want physical copies instead. I figure I have the same control now as I did with the 100+ CDs I had clogging up my bookshelf. I just have an empty bookshelf now. *shrugs*
I'll rephrase, I didn't put that across very well.
I like to mod my games and I make a lot of mods for the like of DA, DA2, Witcher, Oblivion and the Fallout games.
I need to be able to alter files with no issues whatsoever.
Sometimes Steam has issues with certain ways a game is modded which is absolutely no use to me.
I know if I install the game myself with no 3rd party I have total control and the only issues i'll have are those that come from either the game itself or my own fuck ups.
