No, but once after I had sex with my girlfriend I learned that her little sister (sixteen years old) overheard us.

Yes. And my roomies have heard me having sex before too. *shrug* It happens.
Pretty much this. There're three of us in the house and we all have boyfriends so you can't really avoid it.

I'm hard-of-hearing and usually sleep on my `good` ear so I've never really heard anybody- they'd have to be really going at it for me to hear them.

But, cause of the hearing thing, I'm always freaking out about how loud I am. Luckily me and the boyfriend are living on our own now, but before we were living with his parents.
I'm sure they didn't hear...

People in their late teens and early twenties hearing one another having sex whilst living communally?

Heaven forfend...

You don't mention it, unless it's properly loud, in which case wear ear-plugs; if that doesn't work, then bring it up.

Thankfully in the UK we don't actually have room-mates (except in extremely rare cases) in the sense of universities situating two students in the same room.

Yep. Frequently when I had my flat.
I didn't mind though as she was my girl friend at the time. ;)

I would just pretend I couldn't hear it, that way they would be much more comfortable doing it near me since they think I can't hear it, providing me with many enjoyable masturbation sessions. I remember going wild whenever I heard my Sister having sex, just make sure you finish before they do.
not to judge you but, Dafuq did i just read

Also, may I add that your avi is oddly befitting to your response.

General thing is you just ignore it and don't speak of it. Everyone is entitled to sex in their own damn place. Unfortunately, that place can be just 1 paper thin wall away from yours, but they would give you the same courtesy so.
Thing is though, she's here visiting one of the roomies, and it was neither her room nor her bed.

That reminds me of my (slightly mean) habit of launching into fake orgasms when my friends were on the phone.

One particularly funny time, several of us were playing Sega Saturn at a friend's place, and he got a call from his parents. While continuing to play, I started gasping and moaning, and yelling "don't stop!" The effect was slightly spoiled by everyone cracking up seconds later.

Or another time when we were having a movie night, and a different friend had us pause the movie while he took a call. I started calling his name, and saying "Honey, come back to bed! I'm so close!" I have no idea who was on the other line, but he was not thrilled. :p

One of my house mates and I have an arrangement. It's a competition of sorts. Whoever can get our girlfriends/guest to make the most noise wins. Only rule is we can't tell the GF/guest.

Our other house mates don't know about this arrangement. It's a fun arrangement and there are many high fives.

Yup. During my first year in Universeity I was just watching some TV and I heard some noise coming from my flatmate room next to my. I pretty much press my ear against the wall and then realise what was going (I forgot to mention his girlfriend had come over that day and she pretty much sleep over when she come over). I pretty sure my face went all wide eys when I realise what was going on.
After that I pretty much get out my earphones and plug it to the tv (I had a small TV with my during Uni).
This happen again during the second year in a different building and this time my room wall connected to her (there was a pathway space between out rooms!) This time however I had to turn the TV volume loader since the second year room was different (I wasn't as close to the TZ as I was in the first year).

Yep, probably because my roomates room and my room are separated by the thinnest wall in history. He's also definitely heard me doing the same since I was seeing a girl who was loud as all hell. The only time it really bugs me is if it wakes me up/prevents me from sleeping but this is usually more of an issue afterwards (when they talk at FULL VOLUME and laugh/slap each other or high five or something) when they wake me up 2 hours before I regularly wake up for work.

but like I said it works both ways so I don't feel so bad for keeping them up when I'm getting lucky. If he starts making tons of noise when he does it solo I might start complaining though.

Unfortunately, indeed. Two people on my floor have a casual relationship going on ... I'm usually awake when it happens, and I can't help but laugh slightly cause the noises are so ridiculous when it's not you involved. Music helps a great deal.

Don't tell me you've bookmarked this thread as well?!

OT: Ehm... nope... actually, a d'uh kind of yes, because the only roomie I've ever had is the ex-gf, so could I hear her shagging me? ¬_¬

Whether or not the neighbours heard is another matter... though I don't think so... we weren't particularly loud or anything... but this is coming from someone who's half deaf in the left ear and even more so in the right... =_=
LOL... not at the moment but that'll probably change in a few moments.

I visit threads like these because they deal with my massive prudishness and such questions.

My main deal is that sex is a very, very, very, very private matter. And under no circumstances should anyone know when you are doing it or that you are currently doing it at a present moment.

So I'm reading to see how those who have overheard dealt with this and how those who have been heard feel about it. To decide if they have any modesty or shame or whether I am glad we don't know each other in real life because there's no way on earth we could ever be friends.

LOL For the second one, if it was his girlfriend on the phone, that'd've been priceless and you'd be one evil, evil woman! XD

I got a slap for my troubles after a similar... though not-faked experiences... ¬_¬

Well, that's an interesting way to go about it. Give how you've posted, I wouldn't've thought you were particularly prudish... given your likely curiosity and how the eyes just do not leave the page! =P

Not mine, but my girlfriend's room-mate. His girlfriend over-acts, and I just don't need to hear those creaking and hitting noises. *shudder*
<spoiler=Funny anecdote for adults>Last time he shouted the hilarious words 'Yes, take it *****!' very loudly, and it made my sides ache with laughter. I think they're both just kinda going with what they know from porn.
It's pretty hilarious though, and exceptionally frequent.

More annoyingly they have a habit of playing loud music while doing so, in what I think is a failed attempt to cover their noises. It doesn't do anything except ensure I'm awoken to hear such things.

This is your only option.

OT: No, but I once walked in on my parents doing it. Backed out quickly, and it was never spoken of.

Oh, you're fine. I didn't used to think I was either because I am relatively curious. Someone told me once that something they read made them think there were degrees of prudishness. I'd be inclined to agree.

Because really, I only get particular, fussy and uncomfortable/slightly upset and put up a fuss when it comes to public. PDA, overhearing, being walked in on, walking in on others. That type of thing. I remember reading books with love scenes and thinking that I hope I never got so into a guy and so aroused that I forget where I am.

Doing it in public is a major trigger. Especially if it's on like a playground. Children play on those things. And now they'll be all contaminated with sex cooties and shit. *shudders* There was this book I was starting to enjoy sex scenes and all until they sex in an elevator. Just sorta... ruined it for me, I guess.

Anyway, yeah, that sums it up. Most anything else so far as I know doesn't really bother me.

Screw 'hearing' people have sex. I can one up y'all. When I was 8 I was playing in my grandmothers backyard and climbed up in to a tree. I glance over into the neighbors backyard and what do I see? Her gardener getting a blow job from some teen girl behind the shed. Talk about tramautizing, I didn't even know what sex was at that point.

Only good thing that came out of that was the guy looked like he was enjoying it, like A LOT. So I had this girl I played 'doctor' with in the neighborhood give me a blow job. At 8. years. old.

Shit was so cash
