It's going to be on the Wii-U. I was waiting for a price-drop on the 360 before I got my copy but I'm just saying screw that and grabbing it for the Wii-U when it becomes available. I'm really looking forward to it!

Of the three I thought it actually had some of the best and most emotionally moving moments. It kind of had the most freedom in terms of who it could/could not kill off because there wasn't any need to consider the repercussions that things would have on later games. They could (and did) just drop bitches like flies.

"A new beginning... for all of us..."

*sniff*

I actually liked the revised control ending, and my only real problem with the new synthesis was the way it was portrayed. It's actually kind of fitting for a paragon Shepard to bring about perfect unity... though why that had to be portrayed by making everyone sparkle like a green Twilight vampire is beyond me.

I loved all of Mass Effect 3. I mean I was bugged a bit by the ending but that was it. Everything else was awesome! I loved being inside of the Geth mainframe, learning about Geth point of view on the Quarian conflict. Then again I love Legion and the Geth in general. I really enjoyed being able to see all of my favourite characters again and all of them having moments of awesomeness. And it was brilliant to see Tali drunk and then later have Garrus and Tali get together. Oh and lastly getting to be with Jack one last time was great.

Oh boy.

I liked the ending, and pretty much every subsequent thing in it. I liked that even though it was the highest of stakes, it was still humorous. It had very likable characters, it tied up a lot of the loose ends, had some really hatable characters too. (Kai Leng, anyone? Seriously, it takes a lot for me to actually hate a villain character, he totally gets the gold on that one.)

Rather than describe every thing that I like about it, how about I just say that after three games it is hard to remember who did what and was from what, when it comes to Conrad Verner jumping in front of a bullet, I have no idea if I'm supposed to remember the girl that saved his life or not.
Same thing with that scientist that Jacob was protecting, the one with backstory on being an ass to his brother.

It's a good game. The problem is, things that are bad are so bad they ruin most of the game.

Things I liked:

-graphics
-music
-Tuchanka
-Rannoch
-Javik (wouldn't have had that DLC if a friend didn't decide to buy it for me)
-characters interacting with each other on The Normandy
-EDI (yes, I actually loved EDI)
-Garrus and Shepard on The Citadel
-Anderson's death
-Improved combat
-it actually takes longer to finish than ME2 with all the DLC

What I disliked:

-side quests are mandatory if you want to get the "best ending"
-quest log is completely broken
-fetch quests instead of real side missions
-Prothean character is a fuckin' DLC instead of being essential to the story
-auto dialogue
-James Vega
-FOV (PC)
-Controls (PC)
-that stupid kid
-Rachni queen
-Collector base
-Kai Lang
-ENDING!

The sad thing is, I wouldn't even care about anything on that dislike list if Bioware did the ending properly. If I get a gratifying ending that makes the entire experience worth my while, I wouldn't give a shit about anything else.

uhhhhh, everything other than the ending?

When it comes to ME3, pretty much the only complaints you'll hear are about the ending.

Well, I kinda think overall the whole of Bioware's work has been kinda bland and uninteresting... especially in the Dragon Age department where, despite playing hours of that game... I don't have any particularly fond memories of it...
Hm, guess the story was alright, especially the side bits as that tends to be the case with RPG's, but the gameplay felt bland to me, as it did with the ME games.

Funny story: I don't have a problem with ME3. That's other people, and I'm not people.
I'm with Jack. I liked and/or loved pretty much everything about the game.

I liked the character interactions, and the fact that when you went to the Citadel they would wander off and do their own thing (despite the fact that you could fit the ME3 Citadel in one corner of the ME1 Citadel GRUMBLE GRUMLE no, no, positive things, come on...). I loved the multiplayer mode, and getting to smack that reporter again.

I like:

- The combat in general. Far better than its predecessors.
- Prepping and detonating power combos. Pull + Throw on weak enemies is loads of fun.
- Drunk Tali (emergency induction port!)
- Bromance shooting contest with Garrus
- Grissom Academy and Jack
- The deaths of Thane and Mordin
- Operation Tuchanka and watching a Reaper get its ass handed to it by a colossal worm
- Operation Sur-Kesh and finally seeing a female krogan
- Operation Thessia with Javik in your squad
- Operation Rannoch with Tali in your squad, Legion's death and Geth-Quarian peace if you did everything right.
- Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man. I just think he did a top notch job voicing him.
- The multiplayer and all its free DLC.
- "You stupid jellyfish!"
- Blasto the Hanar Spectre. Never stopped being awesome.

He got banned. What he's up to now, I have no idea.
There is a God! Thank you!

I pretty much agree with the OP and the EC tied up most loose ends nicely. ME2 felt much bigger but perhaps that's cause of the amount of padding it had. All in all, a great game that I loved, I just wish the Extended Cut had come shipped.

Uhm...just about everything...

...and while i didn't liked it, i didn't even hated the ending THAT much...

...but one thing i really hated that no one seems to mention is what the military did to my beautiful beautiful SR2 Normandy...

But yeah, let's see:

- Multiplayer was not much, but kinda neat. (Even though you probably stop playing the second you finish the Single Player)
- Just about no pointless filler (Planet Scanning, Exploring of Planets without actual quests)
- Graphics
- Music
- Gameplay
- New Characters that aren't named Kai Leng
- The final battles on earth
- The Krogan stuff
- The Geth stuff
- The way a lot of time is spent sending off just about every charater.

Most of it. But to elaborate for what I didn't like:
-Ending (of course)
-Auto dialogue
-Sidequests being just "listen to people, get shit"
-One button does everything!
-Kai Leng
-Some of the multiplayer systems

Otherwise it's a pretty damn great game.

What you said minus number 3, all the auto-dialogue was one of the few things that pissed me off.

Added to that I loved the new skill trees, being the perfect middle ground between those of ME1 and ME2. I loved that weapons and weapon upgrades were actually comparable and had a visible effect. I loved how the dodge role, more aggressive enemy AI and faster storm speed made the combat (although technically still cover-based) faster flowing and more tactical, and less about just crouching behind a wall until you've picked everyone off. I loved all the new classes of enemy, even the ones that were frustrating as hell. But most of all, I really love how the story in general really gets what makes this cycle worth saving... the characters in it who you care about, and who care about you.

Everything except:
-Broken sidequest system, where I have to check the wiki to find where that damn artifact is located
-War assets, galactic readiness having no relevance to the ending
-Ending (EC was okay though)

The ending was just the cherry on top of the crazy sundae. The entire crucible plot was a needless deus ex machina that spat on the franchise...

If I had to point out a good part of Mass Effect 3, and I do because of the topic of the thread. It'd be Liara and her beacon, especially when she comes into your room to describe you to the beacon.
