You know it's not a depression-era stereotype until you're eating a heart stew of turnips, shoe leather, and horse meat.

At least the Khajiit and Orcs will be happy.

Well, don't expect me to eat any. I grew up with horses, so I'm a little too close to consider devouring said animals. Pretty sure my mom would disown me if I did.

I wasn't aware there was a ban. I just thought it was frowned upon. I've heard of slaughterhouses taking horses before.

I love horse meat. The taste of game meat for half the price. And that ban was ridiculous. Good for you, Americans.

Wow. I really don't know why they would want to lift such a ban but okay...
Because there's no difference between horses and any other type of meat? For a country that's perfectly happy to let anyone go out and shoot and eat a deer, this makes no sense anyway.

Thoughts? Have you ever tried horse meat before?
I'm forwarding this to my schools equestrian team. They'll be so thrilled when that horse steak house opens and they can have their state championship dinner!

Yeah, I'd really like to try horse meat. I'm sure it's very lean...

Yay!

It's a silly ban installed for dubious reasons anyway.

Horse meat is delicious, rich in iron, sweet in taste. It's good, proper meat that doesn't need much beyond salt and pepper, but it also goes extremely well with a creamy morel sauce or just some cafe de paris. It can be mind-blowingly good when grilled.

Don't get me wrong - I love lovely horse very much when it's alive, but horse meat is a splendid source of protein, with a below average fat content, and an above average iron content. It's good stuff.

What works for both long-living pet horses and 'recycling' them proper by eating them late in life is the amazing fact that, unlike most other meat, their meat becomes more tender with age, so you really can give that horse all the love and attention it needs before turning it into a tasty and healthy treat for humans and meat-eating pets alike. Our very own Rott loves horse meat, but he's terribly afraid of living horses.

*sigh*

Honestly, i'm pretty sure we could literally GROW meat without ever harming a animal at this point.

I don't see why we still go out and kill other creatures when we don't need to, ESPEICALLY now that we don't even need to do so to get meat.
