Damn straight. This game doesn't look like it has got a whole lot of personality. And why do they call it Bad Company 2? If I remember correctly, the first bad company was about a bunch of hiiilarious retards, trying to steal stuff. Where is the connection?

If you payed attention to the trailer, it's the same group of hilarious retards, only not showcasing their retardism so much. I don't know, maybe they grew up a little in between games?

I heard that the game was going to be more serious than the last one, so they may just be retards that aren't funny.

Well considering the success of Modern Warfare 1, which was hardly hyped at all (as far as i remember) The only way CODMOD2 would have made people happy is if the prestige edition came with prostitutes, and the game itself was so popular that nobody ever played anything else again

This pretty much sums it up... Hype the shit out of your game and its not good enough when it comes out or don't hype it and a lot of people wont know about it or buy it or play it...

But, on topic, why does absolutely everyone have to fight and rant and foam at the mouth over, and this part is important, so I will bold it for everyone, FUCKING VIDEO GAMES.

They are meant for you to just sit back, relax, and unwind with a little face shooting and whatnot. If the people who created Spacewar could see what would happen 30 something years into the future, I think they would have given up and gone back to whatever the hell MIT students did back in the 70s.

I hope the new one is as good as the old one. I liked the old storyline of "screw the war lets look for treasure." It was better than most games who have storylines of "your country is in peril. Save it solely by yourself" with a (predictable) suprise betrayal or switch sides used interchangably.

Bleh, Battlefield : Bad Company 2 lost all respect from me when the developers jumped up to tell everyone about how they still had dedicated servers.

Which is a shame, because #1 was good.

How can you make any assumptions about the quality of this game based on that trailer? It was pretty much just a minute of random cutscenes. You only see like, 2 seconds of actual gameplay footage that honestly could've been ripped out of any CoD game and nobody could've told the difference. You can't tell a games quality unless you see a significant amount of gameplay footage, not just the 2 second montage of actual in game footage shit.

Hm? I'm a tad confused. My rant, which is Ironic[small]tm[/small] considering me decrying ranting, but w/e, was about flame wars and hate threads about games. I am all for games innovating and changing. That is a great thing. But people will complain about every little thing, at every opportunity, and with full vitriol just because of internet anonymity.
