I have played a game for about 24 hours straight. I got a lot done but had a horrible eye strain headache.

Over the summer I'll pull some gaming binges, like 20 hours of Morrowind and such. My longest streak for any entertainment was about 40 hours of watching Anime, but that's not really what you asked, huh?

The longest time spent playing one game I can remember is playing Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. No, I'm not joking. I played for about 24 hours straight before I finally called it quits, and started playing Virtua Fighter for a few hours.

Longest was playing MGS4 straight through bout 18 hours ... skipped a couple of scenes but watched the big ones at start and end of each mission ... damn that was a long night.

Must be Lord of the Rings Online for 32 hours (though just chatting most of the time).

Unless my ordeal in Biosfear is admitted. A weeks vacation and a pet dragon that needed to be fed with apples (?!) every 30-45 minutes to keep leveling. I spent nights with my finger on the mouse in a state you can't really call sleeping.
Oh yes, did I mention they had a seven day rollback after this? T_T

My current record is one full 24 hour (maybe slightly more, in minutes) stretch on Starcraft thanks to the wonderful soft drink of Mountain Dew: Code Red.

Nothing special, i've had quite a few 10 hour gaming sessions, yesterday i played Crackdown for 8 and a half hours straight from start to finish..

Those are some crazy figures you people are posting, I've only played something like 6-8 hours of Civ4/GalCiv2 at most. Maybe when the next big game comes I'm gonna pull off one of those sessions too just for the hell of it.

I don't really stick to one game during marathons; I played a combo of COD4, Halo 3, TF2 and some Forza 2 from 8 am to 1 am.

I must be the lightweight amongst my brethren on the Escapist. My longest streak was about 16 hours. I don't even remember what it was for.. though I AM certain that it was in my reckless youth, about three years ago, before I got an actual job and got into college. I think it might have been Fable (the first and only good one). I know I regularly play through FPS games in one shot (e.g. a Half-Life game, Gears of War, or something of that short).

So, 16-ish hours.

I once played Suikoden 2 from start to finish and getting the 108 stars of destiny in one sitting, and the in-game clock read around 56 hours on the last save file. Take that as you will.

Umm I think the longest I ever played was like a day and a half cause me and my friends decided to do this gaming triathlon.
First the first 3 missions on Star Craft, then we did Half life, and last was Zelda ocarina of time.
It's was crazy.

mine was probably 48 hours - 50 hours not really sure passed out somewhere around there. Playing GT3 trying to beat the game that was rough and I do not suggest it normal is about 10 hours at a shot got to make up for the weeks of not being able to play on the weekends
