I feel old now.
Yeah, that happens to me in these threads, too.

I guess the first thing I actually owned myself and used much was my VIC-20, which my neighbor/babysitter left me when she went away to college. My friend's parents got him an Apple ][ around then, too, which we screwed around on. Then that was right around when the NES came out, and I got one of those and spent as much time as I could get away with playing either mine or my friends'. It was all downhill from there, as we ended up with a wide variety of PCs and Macs and an assortment of newer consoles as they came out. I still have all of them back to the VIC-20, too, and they even work.

been a gamer for as long as i can remember, i started on an old Spectrum 128, then my parents brought me an Amiga A500, then an A600, then i got my first PC which was an Apricot, 133Mhz Pentium, 2MB Creative Labs GPU, 8MB RAM - upgraded it to 16MB

Then upgraded more and more and been buying new computers since and now own a PS3

So, really, been gaming since 1989 :)

I was born back in the hacion days of 1994 and by 1995 I was hitting the buttons on my Snes controller so hard that that it was sliding all over the floor(I couldnt hold it yet so I just laid it on the floor)!

I've been playing years since I was about 3 (so roughly 17 years. Started out on the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600 that some neighbours gave us), but started considering myself a gamer when I was about 11, so roughly 9 years now.
Ah, the Commodore, now that had some epic games to it! The first "gaming platform" we ever had was the slightly younger Amiga 500. Moonstone anyone? Now that was, as much as something can ever get, the shit!

What was that? Some 14-16 years ago?

Treasure Island Dizzy when I was about 3 years old. The music when you died always freaked me out cuz it took me by surprise.

I had an N64 growing up, but I had to beg my parents for it as they didn't "believe in" video games, whatever that means. Mostly I was a PC gamer throughout high school/college because I could sneak those games into the house easily, but I didn't get an XBox until I moved out (and wasn't a poor student anymore) about 3 years ago. I also have a Wii and a PS2, so I guess I'm making up for lost time.

Back in 1982 (I was 10), I was introduced to my uncles Parsec [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_TI-99/4A].

Since then I have been spending almost all of my free time either playing games or searching for the next great game experience. It has been a long and wonderful ride and the future is blindingly bright for gamers.

Since I was about three. My mom played games a lot at home and I wanted to play too. So I did, and long story short, it stuck.

I started full time gaming when I was four with my N64 and star fox 64, though I was introduce to games when I was two before my father sold my NES.

I started gaming when I was four. My brother handed me the controller and I've been playing video games ever since.

I'm seventeen now. So I've been a gamer for about thirteen years.
