As much as I liked Plants vs Zombies I never finished it simply because it got kinda repetitive at the end. Kinda easy too. I got to the part where you fight them on the roof. Haven't really gotten back to the game since.

I did finish Mass Effect, Fallout 3, and Bioshock. But for ME and Fallout 3 my focus was primarily on the main quest and I didn't really take the time to thoroughly explore the side quests and other nooks and crannies in the two games. I guess the side quests in ME I went on was a bit generic so I gave up on it. Don't know if I'm missing out too much on either game.

It's just the way I am I guess because I don't like investing too many hours into one game. So do you finish the games you like, or just move on to something else?

I finish every single game I play unless I hate it. It's a rule of mine.

I think the only game I've never beat was GTA: San Andreas. I got to a date mission then saw a old man that pissed me off. Then I setup a roadblock and killed anything that crossed it. Then I.... I believe my thought patterns are the cause of not finishing it.

Being as economically disabled as I am, I can't get games too often. I try to make the most of my experience. So yes.

Usually. Depends on how much I'm enjoying them or how many other cool games they have to compete with. I guess usually I'll finish a game if it's worth playing.

Never finished Fallout 3 for instance, tho initially I found it quite enjoyable. Probably some other game eclipsed the pleasure I was deriving from it before I got to the end. Tried Mass Effect a long time ago, and same as you OP I tried to focus on the sidequests before finishing the story and it diminished my enjoyment so I put it down for a long time. Just beat it last week in anticipation of the new one, and I find it much more enjoyable if you just go for the main storyline and skip the rest. It actually feels like a really good game when you do that, to me anyway. And I feel that qualifies as beating the game.

If it's a game I'm enjoying, I'll always make it to the end. If it's a game I'm loving while playing it, I'll try to do and see everything.

I mostly only finish games that really pull me in. Sometimes I just give up on some of the games I play. It's what happened with a majority of the GameCube games I own.

I always finish games that I like. Unless I'm totally stuck on one particular point. On last gen consoles I would just cheat but now I have achievements to worry about.

I don't understand why you would not finish a game that you like. Although then again my best friend considers Ocarina of Time to be the best game ever made and has never completed the Spirit Temple onwards, so I guess some gamers are just like that.

It depends on what style of game it is, and what it is I like about it. A game like Black, for example, I saw through til the end, mostly because it was a fairly linear FPS, but because the story drew me in, and the graphics and sound effects were beautiful at the time, and still hold up fairly well. Sandbox games can be different, though. Although I beat GTA: San Andreas, I never beat Oblivion. That's because the game's story is never what drew me in, but the stories I could make for myself with it.

Usually i will finish the game that is good, unless another game comes out that is more interesting. or I am amazing bad with it... like warcraft 3. I really enjoy the custom maps but I was never really good at it. so I actually had trouble with the campaign... aside from RTS's I dont have much trouble with finishing games. Although, today's games are a lot easier to finish than some of the older games i still play every now and then.

Only game I own which I've never finished was Call of Duty 3. Never buy that miserable turd of a game, even if it's 5 bucks in the bargain bin- It still isn't worth it!

Always.

I don't see the point in playing it if I'm not going to finish it.
