I didn't decide to be an actor, I always knew I had to be one. So I did it. There were steps in between, obviously, but that's the cut and dry version.

I have sort of a vague idea, but I definitely don't have it all together. What I do have has been changed, adapted, and rethought over and over again. I went to a 4 year university to study chemistry for a year and a half before I decided it wasn't for me. Now I'm at a community college for a semester as a stop-off on the way to a different 4 year university to study Sports Communication; definitely a major switch.

I don't really know what I'll end up doing after I graduate, either. I could write for a paper or magazine, but the way the economy and the industry is, who knows? I would love to do radio, either some kind of talk show or production. I could do TV, or even work for a team doing PR/media relations or even play-by-play.

It's definitely a work in progress, so I just have to stay open.

I told you, I don't want to be a unicorn, stop pressuring me!
You're going to unicorn college and that's final! It's the only way I can get a mounted unicorn head on my mantal piece... I think I said too much.
You won't be able to afford a mantle piece if you're paying for unicorn college! Ooh, what a catch 22...
But you will... then... ahh? Goddamnit!

I don't know either. I'd quite like to push the reset button and try again.
Why waste it on a reset? Go on a killing spree! Then, when you get shot down, insert £1 and go from the start.

Obviously I'd love to be a game designer.

Although I'll probably end up an English teacher in a foreign land for a while beforehand.

Does anyone know what to do with their lives. Most people just fall into what they're going to do with their lives by accident.

I suppose I want to be a store manager at Gamestop. At least, that's what I'm doing right now and I'm quite content with it. It has challenges, but once I get off work, that's it. I don't have to bring the work home with me.
Also, it pays my bills and more, as long as I don't spend ridiculous amounts of money (which I usually do though) I'm very much financially secure and could put something away for the future as well.
I've been thinking about going back to school, I'm 27 and I only got the mandatory 10 years, nothing else to show. Suppose I could become all sorts of things, but the thought of homework and the lack of money is very off-putting.

In the end, I guess I'll stick to what I'm doing right now until I get tired of it or something better comes along

Um, quite a few of you are clueless as well. For those of you who are currently employed, is your current job what you envisioned yourself doing? If not, a stepping stone?

Yeah. If you want to mount a unicorn head on your mantel piece, would it not be easier to take a regular ass horse, strap on one of those spiral looking candies and spray it with white paint and glitter?

I'm at university at the moment in my first year of a Maths degree, but I'm not entirely sure what to do yet. I really enjoy acting, although I never manage to get any decent parts, and I've also become very interested in film-making since joining the student union film-making society. I'm torn at the moment, between trying for a career in the media working in film and TV, trying my hand at acting (theatre, not a big Hollywood star or anything, just small scale stuff), and becoming a game developer (which is my first choice at the moment).

EDIT: At least Maths is a very versatile degree, with a Maths degree I can enter pretty much any career path...

P.S. I can't believe I'm only on 14 posts, after all the time I've spent on here (1110 at time of writing, guess the reference).

Get my degree in Computer Engineering at MIT [http://www.mapua.edu.ph/]. Then land a job for a bit.

Then branch out into two possibilities:

Enroll at a flight school and earn 150 hours for that commercial pilot license or get a Master's degree for Business Administration.

I'm in Uni for Psychology and I always wonder what I'm gonna do once I get that BS. I think I'm gonna help children who have been through trauma and stuff. I never know though, I could end up a Photographer for all I know. I like pretty things!

As another said, I might just end up a pilot too. Flying wasn't was fun and beautiful.

The Ideas are endless...

I'm currently enrolled in a trade school to become an electrician because I figured there would be some job security seeing as how dependent we are on electricity. While its interesting, an electrician isn't my dream job. Come to think of it, there isn't anything I really want to do. Does anyone else have a similar problem? For those of you that don't, what motivated you to pursue a career?
That's not a bad idea at all. I have a friend from high school that didn't know what he wanted to do, so he became a plumber. He's doing pretty well for himself, works around 30hrs a week doing contract work and loves it.

I was into computer programming, got laid off, and realized that being a programmer wasn't what I wanted to do at all. Now I'm back in college and getting my degree in Communications: Electronic Media and Communications: PR. There's more jobs in bullshitting than in skilled trades ;)

Again, not a bad choice friend, and who knows, you might be like my other friend a absolutely love it.

I'm not entirely sure but it would be something in computing. First off I might try to get Certificate 4 in IT and then see where I go from there. A cert in IT can be very helpful with many types of jobs. Though I'm not sure of the pay in IT fields. I've heard it can be flexible but somewhat low, anybody know anymore about pay and good IT careers?
