Whenever I eat ramen I get a terrible headache.

Probably due to that it contains 82% of my daily sodium needs. That's a hell of a lot of salt.
Use less of the flavoring packet. You're probably allergic to MSG.

OT: If I can't use a Pot 'O Water, I use a coffee-maker.

There will never be a lack of both anywhere you need to make Ramen. Trust me.

Boil the water, drop the noodles in and let them get nice and tender, put it all in a big plastic bowl, strain it a bit if needed, and mix the packet in.

Damn good.

I've never actually had ramen, even though I'm in college. Some people have congratulated me because of this. I'm lucky that the convenience store on campus has microwaveable chicken parm subs.

Boil water, dump the noodles in without breaking it apart, cook it, then add the seasoning.

Doesn't matter to me. I've eaten it unboiled, beat the crap out of the package until it's all smashed up into bite sized chunks, open up the package, pour in the seasoning and shake it until it's all evenly coated and go to town on it.

However comma, I prefer boiling it and eating it like a soup.

I pre-season the water so the spices boil down into the water, which makes a better broth. The seasonings include ground pepper, beef soup base if it's roast beef ramen, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and basil leaves. Boil water. Once boiling, I put in chopped cherry bomb peppers, meat, and asian vegetables. Once 3 minutes are up, I put the flavor packet in, and add a few shakes of my sesame chili oil and I'm in Ramen Heaven.

Boil the water and add the noodles, I prefer my noodles a bit softer so I boil them for a little longer. In the bowl that I'm going to eat it in I dump in the flavoring packet, add some garlic and onion powder or any other spices I think will help depending on what flavor it is. And then I crack a raw egg in the bowl right before I pour the noodles with some of the water for broth, the boiling water and noodles flashcook the egg and it is so good, more protein too to balance out the unhealthy stuff.

I just made ramen right before I saw this thread and am eating it now. I just add the seasonings and drown it in Worcestershire Sauce.

Boil Water!
Eat noodles raw!
Drink boiling water!
Snort flavorings!
Fuck bitches.

Okay for real though. My art is based upon a thai brand of ramen called dndn from a company called MAMA. I use the pork flavor.

First boil up water in a sauce pan. Use the bowl you're gonna eat in to measure out the water needed, and then add a little to make up for water lost in boiling.

Second, when boiling, add the oil and flavoring packet, and stir with chopsticks.

Third, place in ramen block, whole. No breaking up the pieces. When the block begins to disentegrate, go get an egg.

Fourth, crack the egg into a bowl of some kind. Now, tricky part, you must make an opening in the boiling noodles to place the egg and pour in the egg. It will poach in the ramen soup. Strong note, if the yolk breaks during the cooking process, well, fuck.

Now, when the noodles are soft and the egg white is cooked, you're ready to eat. Pop the yolk upon serving to enrich the soup. Add salt to taste in case you added too much water or the egg absorbed some flavoring.

Not enough salt in my opinion. I do what you do OP, except I add a lot of salt.
That would be the saltiest thing I've ever tasted, and I once ate a big heaping bowl of salt!
Futurama reference? OP: I just put the noodles and the water in the microwave at once, take it out, put in flavouring packet, a small amount of vegtables and stir.

I ate ramen plain for years, but now i add green onion, mushrooms and sometimes an egg. There just aren't enough nutrients in ramen... obviously.

Edit: Darkryter has the right idea.

Crack the egg into a bowl and scoop the yolk onto a spoon, and dip it down into the boiling soup and noodles. Slide it off the spoon and let it sit there without stirring the pot. In a minute you'll have awesome noodles with a cooked egg yolk floating around.
