Wouldn't effect my life. Might give Christians even more to whine about though. That would cause me grief, but not such that I'd oppose the motion. I'd oppose the moaning people.

One pretty big impact it would have however, is that it would open up a lot more potential couples to adopt orphaned kids, and give them good, stable homes...

When my state declared gay marriage to be legal it made me happy in my heart even though I don't believe in marriage for myself, personally. Neither does my partner of 13 years! ;-)

However, all my gay friends can marry now which makes many of them VERY happy... and then they make performance art about it... using me... so... I got paid to dance in gay marriage themed performance art because it's legal here. Gay marriage = $100 in my pocket. Never thought about it that way before but extra hooray for the gay! (marriage)

I live in the netherlands, where just about anything is legal (and if it aint light punishment is applied *eyeroll*) and i can't say it really affects me.


Unless they come up my door and ask if they can marry me, then Id have to laugh. I'm very sorry but that would be a hilarious situation XD

Well, here's a correction for ya: The State prevents them from marrying too. Marriage has a whole bunch of additional rights that come with it, and gay marriages are not recognised as such by the State. The influence of the Church on the State is there, yes, but the Church is not solely responsible.
