Wouldn't effect my life. Might give Christians even more to whine about though. That would cause me grief, but not such that I'd oppose the motion. I'd oppose the moaning people.
*Sigh*

I assure you, most of us aren't like that...

One pretty big impact it would have however, is that it would open up a lot more potential couples to adopt orphaned kids, and give them good, stable homes...

So yeah, we should probably get on that...

When my state declared gay marriage to be legal it made me happy in my heart even though I don't believe in marriage for myself, personally. Neither does my partner of 13 years! ;-)

However, all my gay friends can marry now which makes many of them VERY happy... and then they make performance art about it... using me... so... I got paid to dance in gay marriage themed performance art because it's legal here. Gay marriage = $100 in my pocket. Never thought about it that way before but extra hooray for the gay! (marriage)

wouldnt affect me at all, unless, legalizing gay marriage, turned everyone gay. But O have a feeling that wouldn't happen.

It would piss off those religious people, which would really make me happy.

So yeah the happiness of the 3% of gays would increase, and the rage of fundamentalists would increase. Both good things.

Nothing would change except I would legally have a new uncle. And we all consider him to be an uncle already, anyway. Glad I have such an accepting family.

Well, I like to think I'm a very appealing target for gay couples seeking a threesome, so there's always that to worry about.

On second thought, that holds true for non married couples as well, so yeah, don't care.

Frankly, as a straight man, I would find it odd to be married to another guy. If we don't have to kiss/have sex I guess I wouldn't mind. Everything else is okay by me.

Oh, wait, you mean other people getting married? It doesn't affect me at all. In fact, let em!

How would it affect my life?

It wouldn't. Let them marry and let's be done with this self righteous BS. It hasn't done the world any good, on the contrary, it only improved western civilization when it was dropped as being the pillar of what social life was all about.

One of my best friends would be able to get married.

However, I'm Dutch, so it's already allowed here.

I live in the netherlands, where just about anything is legal (and if it aint light punishment is applied *eyeroll*) and i can't say it really affects me.

Unless they come up my door and ask if they can marry me, then Id have to laugh. I'm very sorry but that would be a hilarious situation XD

It wouldn't change my life in the slightest.
Well, it would give me some entertainment as I hear people whining about how Gays shouldn't get married.

tbh.. (and correct me if im wrong) the only reason they cant marry is the church.
Well, here's a correction for ya: The State prevents them from marrying too. Marriage has a whole bunch of additional rights that come with it, and gay marriages are not recognised as such by the State. The influence of the Church on the State is there, yes, but the Church is not solely responsible.

OT: Ah sure, it'd affect it a bit, but not negatively.
