I have been randomly enjoying this thread upon its creation.
Currently there is only one thing wrong I find with the Wii: the motion plus gadget. They marketed that wrongly and I feel it needs better justice. Instead of going, "We released this thing you can tap to the back of your wiimote to aim better!" how about we see WiiMote V2? A Wiimote with the new technology already in it from the start, with marginal price difference. You don't release a controller then point out a flaw it may have to the crowd, then charge them extra to fix it. Nintendo mailed out that one new upgraded wrist band around the world for free, and I believe they mailed out sleeves for free as well (though I have yet to get mine.) While it may be too far of a leap to give out motion plus do-hickeys for free, it's not a large jump to simply resign the control and release a newer version of the controller.
The Wii, itself, as a system, is fine. There is nothing wrong with the games that Nintendo makes for its system, there is nothing wrong with the brand of people they make the games for. Since Nintendo is not in control of third party gamers, they should not have to be responsible for what they release provided it's under the proper rating rules. Crap gets released, there was plenty of gaming snot sneezed out towards popular systems in the past: PS2, snes, nes, Atari anyone? Terrible games will always and have always been released. The Wii, as a system, is not in fault of this and the bad games have nothing to directly do with how the Wii console operates.
