The only way I'd think of killing a god is to trick it into killing themself through a very very very elaborate Xanatos Gambit.

Use said weapons mebbe?? :p

But to meet a god would confirm it's existance, and without faith gods are nothing... so *poof* death in a big cloud of logic~

either kill the god with dogma or destroy his worshippers, history also seems to turn gods into myths quite well(is a change the same as destroying?), though the problem with history is that it takes a long time : P

tbf that works only with a good that argues it shouldnt need proof, a god that was happy to prove himself bypasses the origional logic but can sometimes end being forced into an opposite position of not existing on account of his ability to confirm his existence as u cannot posses the faith u may have in the unproven with that which u can invest in the known, this works on the basis that to have faith u cannot have proof, which is a bigger question than i will muddle through at 639 am without a bit more sleep

I am very religious and I am a believer that there is one true god that cannot be killed, but if I am going to spend my time typing something, I dang well have fun with it.

1.First off, we must assume a god is all knowing and all seeing, which means that no matter what he can see us. That means that if any such plans will be made, they have to just be so insignificant to slip by his attention. Obviously plans to kill him would be important, so we have something that is so big that it becomes to important for the god to ignore, giving us time to plan.

2.He will obviously have power and people on his side so we would likely need people on our side. It would help to have human allies, but in the end we would need things that can fight the god on his level. I recommend other gods or get enemies form hell and demons to back you up.

3.Then you want weapons capable of defeating a god. Usually something made by him, or of godly power is the only thing that can harm a god, so get that. Maybe take it from him when his back is turned.

4.Most gods gain strength form faith and devotion; so stop people from doing that. Kill them if you have to ? you might as well because if you lose you are going to be eternally dammed anyway.

5.Lastly you need a way to get to the god. Usually thought I find it easier to bring the god down to here. To bring any general out of security, just start taking down his men.

And there you have it, a list of steps needed for killing a god. And note that this plan can also apply to taking down military leaders and next-door neighbors. I hope I helped to answer you question and have better luck when you do try to kill a god.

Note that all responsibility for any action taken after reading this post is completely the readers and the writer is in no way responsibly for the action taken. This is not a serious plan for killing a god and is in no way meant to be taken seriously. If you did, might I recommend playing God of War instead? It is a good game and you don?t have to worry about eternal damnation, which is always a plus. Still, I do hope you liked reading my comment, because I do love to make up stuff for fun. I probably need a new hobby, and a girlfriend.

Well if its that god from the end of ghostbusters (gozer the traveller?) I'd totally kill it with sex.
This or disbelief in their existance is probably the most effective way to kill most modern western gods.

However, death by fire and slowly skinning them alive sound like they would look pretty cool.

another option for painful would be death by de-wangification. not sure if this is an actual word.

Edit: I third that notion. All Hail the Babelfish.
(just you know, so long as we don't create a new god to make our previous labors totally redundant or anything.)

by making it watch Run Lola Run, or the 2008 movie BUG....better yet, force it to watch them back to back. it'll die off on it's own after that.

Firstly: you couldn't kill God (proper) because it isn't a literal being as much as it is an ethereal force. For that reason, let's say I'm trying to kill...Zeus.
If for some reason he's feeling sporting and decides to not manifest himself as a mountain-sized man-crushing monstrosity, I'd just sidestep his attack, amputate his hand, and stick him in the side of the head. Then I'd proceed to whack at him and whack at him until there's not enough to fill a thimble before stealing his sword, rushing off, and hoping that you can actually kill a god like that.
