Well, to be honest I'm a bit of a math nerd, so for a while I'd memorize all my roots from 1-10 [5^6, 8^9, etc.] and philosophize. Maybe plot escape plans I'd never execute [doesn't that get you more time?] for funsies, you know. If I had a cell mate I'd practice story-telling. Maybe singing if it didn't get me raped, or whistling. I'd find ways to entertain myself.

Other than that, my employment a few months ago did actually leave me (occassionally) in fire extis, which were nothing more than blank, white walled rooms. I just 'thought away' the 5+ hours mostly... that or brick counting. The expansion of that is just meditating, and inevitably finding many patterns in my walls.

I would sleep, and starve. If there's nothing in there but me, I obviously wouldn't be able to eat. I actually don't think it's a big problem to find something to do, since even when I have something to do, I can sometimes just stop and think about all sorts of stuff (mostly about that person though..)
