How would you make time pass in an empty room?

Sleep and think. And probably talk to myself after a while.

In The Last Theorem by Arthur C. Clarke and Frederik Pohl, the protagonist spends a couple of years in some prison cell after being extraordinarily renditioned (rendered?) and uses the time to come up with a proof for Fermat's last theorem. In between sessions of water boarding. That book is completely retarded.

Meditate. And then activate my super powers and blast my way out! Honestly I believe i'm gaining super powers!

I have a very active imagination, so I'd use the time to come up with alternate worlds and fictional characters and stories, and live in a world of my own imagination. It'd be something to keep my mind occupied while I live out those nine years in a prison cell, and something great to write about when I'm finally released (I'm quite interested in writing fiction, you see, both stories and screenplays...).
Most of this, but I think I'd lose track of the differences between reality and fantasy very quickly in such a situation. The reality would be so dull I'd attempt to blot it out...

I would do what most prisoners do: push ups and lunges till my body was the size of the small country.

well, the simple option would be to either:masturbate, sleep, imagine random scenarios, pretend your unwell and need a doctor so they open the cell door then rip out their throat with your sharp fingernails which you have been chewing to sharpiness perfection then run like fuck screaming im free with blood dripping from you fingers and your pants off because you were previously masturbating

I'd make a thread called "How would you make time pass in an empty room?"

But in all seriousness, I'd find every little thing that room had to offer. Some sand from the corner and a pebble from crumbling masonry can help stave off insanity...

At least for a little while...

9 full years of masturbation.

What else?
After 9 years the strength in that arm alone will allow you to smash though the walls to freedom!
That's the best reply ever. That arm could punch through steel. It would get kind of boring though, wouldn't it? And the mess! Oy vey.

EDIT: You'd probably want to exercise other parts of your body as well, otherwise, well...

Whatever I did, time would still pass. So does it matter?
Exactly what I was going to say.

I'd probably repeatedly knock myself out because it'd be boring.

Or, write a book. Call it My Book and sell it to the masses and then becom-

Oh wait, someone did that.
I think he called it 'my struggle' :p

I would dance and talk to myself and narrate an entire novel...
That actually sounds fun now.

Ja, 'Mein Kampf', which literally means 'My Battle'...

I still like the masturbation idea...
