I have a small circle of friends that I keep up with and I hang out fairly often with a few of them too. That's good enough for me.

Pretty dim, though I do have a large circle of what could be described as "amiable persons" that I tend to do stuff with, every once in a while.

It's alright. Better then a year ago, where I would just hang out with the same couple of guys and gals. Now I seem to spend a lot of time with American students. I can't work out for the life of me how it happened.

Great. I'm back at school now so I'm seeing those guys every day (lots of friends their) and I'm going to a party on Saturday with my out-of-school friends.

All my friends left me for uni.
All my friends think i'm lame for playing games.
I'm having to sit two exam's again 3 yrs on (and not 'cause i'm stupid. near death is a bad thing for exams)
I sit in my house all day playing games.
HOWEVER..
I have a fianceé & have managed to arrange 2 nights out for my birthday on Tuseday (everyone is allowed to gate crash i could do with meeting more people :p)
Things could be better but i'm coasting along

Either I have plenty of friends and no girlfriend or a girlfriend and not many friends. Right now it is the former. I wish I could say I was satisfied like most of you, but no, I am not.

I have quite a few friends who I make an effort to see regularly. My social life is pretty good, esecially since school has started back up.

I've recently re-discovered my Gamecube along with Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, SSBM, Metroid and Resident Evil.

So my social life ain't so hot at the moment. Another reason being I am on the bones of my arse since I deicded to spend my last paycheck on clothes and alcohol. £391 in four days, fuuuuu.

I reckon I'm in a pretty lucky position.. at my senior school there was a whole bunch of people like me who were interested (unhealthily) in gaming.

Now I know what you're thinking, bunch of bespectacled geeks hanging out in the computerlabs during break.
But no! amongst our ranks were 1st 11 rugby players, socialites, stoners, even female members! people from the most 'popular' rungs of social groups intermingled seamlessly with people who prefer to keep themselves to themselves. At no stage did the word 'outcast' even occur to us.

Perhaps this was quite a unique situation, has anyone else experienced something similar?

Social life? Fffff.

Between work and dealing with roommates, my social life consists of playing the occasional TF2 match with online peeps and wishing I could crawl under a rock and stay there for the next fifty years.

Most people know the typical stereotype of gamers and people who just sit on the internet; antisocial, no friends,

Non-existant.

And now I'm leaving to do R.E. homework. Ah, the wonders of being a highschool nerd. Thumbs up to being the epitome of cool.

You're looking at it.
We're part of the problem.

I guess it's going ok. I'm not dead yet.

My social life stinks on ice. It's simultaneously too isolated and contains too much interaction!

I'm alone when I really want to be around people and I have demands placed on my time when I want to be alone.

Ahem, in short, and so not to sound like the pompus ass (as i did in the first paragraph) its about having an even mix, or personal prefference (eg, you prefer staying slightly anoyonmus, go for it).
Yeah I like a mix of being around people I know well and not so well. Would take the former every time if pushed, though.

That said I'd much sooner end up in a night club than a pub all night (not that pubs are bad, of course), and thats not because I'm super eager to meet new people. It's just that clubs have dance floors, pubs tend not too.

I have quite a few friends I talk to at school, some I do things with after school and over the weekends etc but mainly I'm pretty solitary and I'm not one for drinking.
