Well my doctor fucked up epicly so I had to have what started as a blood blister removed (he irritated it and it turned into the bastard that is the pylogenic granuloma), the scar is right on my wrist so I'm constantly paranoid about people thinking I've cut myself but that was only the start. I spent the night in ridiculous pain and the next day too before the district nurse came round, turned out it was swollen to fuck and massively infected and I ended up back in hospital. I was in the hospital for three days with cellulitus and, honest to god, when I wasn't hopped up on painkillers it was the most pain I've ever felt, not helped by the doctor squeezing the wound each morning. So basically cellulitus sucks ass, just, so much ass.

The surgery I had after I tore my ACL in my right knee. I'm not ashamed to admit that I woke from surgery in tears because of how much pain I was in.

The physical therapy ain't no cakewalk, either.

Escapists, I am fresh out of my wisdom teeth removal surgery, and the pain-killers I was prescribed barely take the edge off. The pain is pretty bad. But for discussion value of this thread, what did you do that you thought wouldn't hurt as much and etc., etc.?

Failing to breathe for long periods of time due to an asthma attack brought on by laughter? Quite painful.
I thought laughter was supposed to be the best medicine?
Heard that one before. It was pointed out to me that dying laughing is probably the second best way to go, after dying during sex.

Hmm, probably the time I went over the handlebars of my (peddle)bike. The front wheel stuck in a pothole, and I'd forgotten my helmet, so I threw my arms up over my head to protect it. That was clever, because when I hit the ground, I slid about six or seven feet on the tarmac on my forearms, and the friction burned the skin clean off. Then I rolled a couple more feet and cracked my forehead open on the kerb anyway :p

The pain was manageable, but dear god the itching, my arms felt like they'd been colonised by fire ants for weeks afterwards.

My wisdom teeth fell out! So I did not need them removed! HAHA!

OP: Getting shot in the foot, it was when my house was robbed :)
Were you the one holding the gun?

I was stung by a bee in between the toes.

Similar story, actually, but not about the pain. When I got my wisdom teeth removed, I went home and proceeded to play Final Fantasy VII. I was right at the huge plot twist involving the release of the weapons and the revealing of Sephiroth's true plan and Cloud's true identity. Next time I played, everything about the world and story had changed, and I couldn't remember how at all. That sucked.

Ugh the time I got swimmer's ear, I was like eh so some water got in my ear, so what, fucking hell was I wrong... it hurt so freaking bad, and it doesn't go away for like a week and a half.

Falling out a car at 30 mph. That hurts. Appendicitis, also. Getting stabbed. Getting smacked around with a cricket bat. Migraines. All these things hurt a lot. Teeth pulled, not so much, at least for me.

Waking up.

I once woke up with a pain in my stomach so intense I thought I would die. I stumbled to and from the bathroom in an attempt to throw up, only to collapse on the bed and just lie there, weeping in pain for about half an hour. It went away pretty fast, though. I think it was cramp.

It's scary as shit, too, really...

----

Also; Getting hit square in the boob with a tennis ball hurts like a ************.

And having a boil in your armpit - just before it blows up from the pressure (I'm not much for cutting myself open... possibly because I'm an idiot) - hurts so bad you can barely move. Hurt a hell of a lot worse than when the doctor cut into the open wound with a scalpel, really.

My little sister once woke me up by jumping right into my groin.
And while trying to get up as fast as possible, I managed to race my eye into her tiny elbow...
She/I must have hit a nerve or a pressure-piont, because I never felt such excruciating pain, even after a full-contact tournament I was in way less pain.

And of course papercuts.
There is nothing nastier then the feeling you get, when the paper slices through your skin...*shiver*

Well I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in a few weeks and I don't really expect it to hurt all that much but then again I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. Though I've never broken a bone before I have taken a couple of nasty bumps and bruises through my life. Like flipping over my handlebars on my bike, falling out of a tree onto a quite large rock, taking quite a few fastballs to the back/torso, and being hit in the face,my eye to be precise, with a line drive luckily it was only a tennis ball.

I don't but I can imagine.

Also any even mildly alcoholic substance accidentally placed in proximity to Senor Ding-Dong results in "kind of warm... thats a bit hooot....owowoowowowoothisistoomust..OUUUUCH"
