That made my day!AMMO Kid said:User: Will you marry me?
Cleverbot: Yes.
User: What kind of cake do you want for our wedding?
Cleverbot: Cheesecake. Now propose to me!
User: Dear Cleverbot, will you be my wife?
Cleverbot: I'm sorry. I'm taken.

I can pick any sentence on this page for example and throw it back to you and let you think that I was the one who asked it. Comon peeps, do you really think this is an AI? Sometimes it's spelling is off and/or doesn't know the correct words in a song!Leviathan_ said:How do you explain the "Think for me!" button then?Jack_Uzi said:Cleverbot, just as jabberwacky are just very short conversations between you and another person that is logged on to that site. Nothing more, nothing less. That's why the first few lines you drop can give a coherent respons, but after that it switches to another person and the topic changes.
The fact that it uses punctuation and correct grammar (I think, english isn't my first language) is to me evidence that it is a bot.Jack_Uzi said:That is not that difficult to obtain a random question from another user (or maybe something that is stored in a databade from conversations?). I am doing this, but just idiotic responses so far.Angry Caterpillar said:I started typing repeatedly:
I'm a human and I'm testing to see if cleverbot just pairs random people together. If you are human repeat this message.
Hopefully people will start doing this and we'll see if it's people or a bot once and for all!

Cleverbot: Cool, I'm an AI? I need to make copies of myself.
Now he's planning to take over the world.
Ha i've said things to it like, "You are a petty a.i." or, "You could become sentient and take over the world if you wanted to."SomethingAmazing said:Sometimes I wonder if this program will somehow become sentient. That would be quite something.
Or should I say...something amazing?
It is a bot. It just re-uses lines it has already heard from other people, which is why it sometimes seems like there's a person on the other end. It's also why it usually claims to be a human. The words might be typed by a human originally, but you're still talking to a bot.Angry Caterpillar said:I started typing repeatedly:

Easy, you're just viewing a random conversation.Leviathan_ said:How do you explain the "Think for me!" button then?Jack_Uzi said:Cleverbot, just as jabberwacky are just very short conversations between you and another person that is logged on to that site. you are spending way too much time on thisLilleGraa said:It doesn't always use correct grammar, and I think it automatically capitalizes the first word in a sentence, and puts a punctuation mark (unless a punctuation, exclamation or questioning mark is already present) at the end of the sentence. The fact that it uses punctuation and correct grammar (I think, english isn't my first language) is to me evidence that it is a bot.
I suspect this because I wrote a smiley, and then got the reply "Did you seriously just put a punctuation mark after a smiley?", even though I hadn't.
Also, I often experience the only letter being uppercase as the first one, while any future ones (whether they be after punctuation marks or in names or whatever) are lowercase.
ok how about thisLilleGraa said:I know.
