Bullshit. It sounds like screaming to me so I'll call it screamo. Fie on you. And just so you know, even MIXED music takes hours to make. A friend and I just arranged two TouHou songs for violin, two pianos, cello, and viola and it took more than a week of work. Seriously. Try to just ARRANGE some music and you'll understand there's difficulties in all music. Now we have to play the parts...but that's okay, I've only got piano 2 and she's got violin two. lol. We've got more....talented people on the hard parts.
my cousin made a pop song with some free auto-tuning device and ad-libbed lyrics in 10 minutes (timed)

he spread it around the school, saying it was a "new song" by Justin Bieber or something

it became the hit of the school, and everyone thought it was awesome.

seriously. it was THAT easy.

Can I get to another point that is getting made in this thread. Thinking screamo is an insult is really ignorant, attacking Screamo as a whole is ignorant, attack Pop, Rock, Metal, Jazz, Classical, Bebop, Hip Hop, J-pop, Noise Rock, Country, Dubstep, Blues, Hardcore, Metalcore, Tripcore, Jazzcore, Post Rock, Post Hardcore, Post Dubstep Jazzcore or Post Jazzrock Bebop bluescore is ignorant, and most people rage about something they haven't even tried to explore.

I hate screamo but I love metal, for one I'm listening mostly for guitar, whereas with screamo the instrumentals are always so low (in pitch) that you can't make out any real melody.

do you, fellow metalheads and even just people who appreciate music that requires SKILL to play
stopped reading about right here.

What makes me rage is "metal heads" such as yourself spouting nonsense about music and skill. If you actually wrote music you would know that skill doesn't have anything to do with writing good music.
truth

seriously. i like rock music and listen to it like 90% of the time. But people like this kill metal music for me because they treat it like some super secret fight club or something where they are the only ones who know that "true skill!!!!!! RAGE" is.

get a life and stop trying to categorize every little thing. enjoy what you like, let other people do the same, and above all get over it.

Iris, A song considered to be a classic, was written in 30 minutes.

The critically acclaimed shitty Star Wars Prequels took about 3 years in between time to make

Art should not be judged by the time it takes to make.

Not raged at all. Just remember this is one of the only few intelligent places on the Internet, and we understand most things unlike most other people. Just let them be ignorant.
"This is one of the only few intelligent places on the internet" That's a joke right? You mean we differ in opinion...I would hope.

i don't think most people think of screamo when they think of rock, they think of green day and shit, although whether that's a good thing is debatable...

The second that everyone starts parading that we are the high brow intelligent hot spot of the web is when I'm going to leave this website.

question, I noted you put screamo/EMO. Emo in its self is a controdiction,

I am not emo but i like the band Linkin park's song Saving me. I also like Eversences wake me up. And my personally favorite is Into the night.

It makes me mad to be labeled "emo" by people who do not know what "emo" means, its to days Nerd/Geek word.

one of my friends is a self classified "emo" and doesn't really give a fuck what others think, But at the same time he's not all about him self, He just has alot of shit going on, Is he "emo?" I say yes, But I do not use it in dissrespect.

This brings me back to my original point, I understand where your comming from, but please don't put "Emo" songs in with Screamo. I hate that shit, its like some one is trying to eat the Microphone.

I get this sort of attitude from my brother.

I listen to a couple of metal bands for nostalgia (I don't really get into new metal anymore) and he always asks if I want him to put on <Random Band That Have Roaring/Screaming in Their Music>.

I'm not phased.

He was into like Bob Marley and Wu Tang Clan and Lauren Hill or what ever when he was a teen.

I was into Rammstein and Slipknot and Korn and Mindless Self Indulgence.

So we listen to different music and classify anything that we hear as similar as the same.

Perhaps when they listen to your music, they hear the same thing as when they listen to Screamo. There's no distinction for them as they don't listen for the subtle differences, so they make no distinction in their classification.

I call most of my brothers music "R&B/Reggae/Chill out shit" which it isn't. So what?

He calls my music Death Metal, which it's not.

It doesn't matter man, just ignore them.

Well if were going into specifics, Linkin Park nor Evanescence arent emo.

The actual emo, which is short for Emotive Hardcore, has a distinct style within itself, and screamo is just as sub-genre of emotive hardcore.
