ya the overuse of the letter x and anything sex, weed, alcohol or MLG related really pisses me off
my gamertag was the nickname given to me in elementary school which combined my last name, a decent show from the 80s and the last two digits in my birth year... I've been using the same thing since the days of LAN play Red Alert 1 and haven't felt the need to change: Heeman89

Most names I can let slide, except when they start replacing words like 'the' with 'da' or just generally misspell words. I have a friend with DA in it and I always say, "Hey there D, A."
Also adding numbers on the end is bad. Not only are you unoriginal, you are so unoriginal someone else has already taken that name. (Though I admit I am sad to see many sites with "Mazza" taken.)

Mine is "TheoryOfStrings". I was going to use it for my username here but I accidently sent it to the wrong email address
So now im stuck with what I have to say is the most unoriginal username Ive ever come up with.
I usually dont care much about the usernames(gamertags,steam IDs etc) though, It just urks me when people pot like five numbers after their names as I just find it to be lazy. Especially when its something common as dirt like "Halofan35265" or "Gamer6784". Also anything with any variation of "snipe" or "sniper".
Also as a rule of thumb, I never use numbers at the end of my names. Though I am guilty of sticking one or two in the middle if the name I want is taken.

Bingo. Surrounding it in accent marks and equal-signs just bugs me to no end. Another thing is PC gamers who use half their name to say theyre in a clan or something.trueluigi7 said:

I tried using Icehearted, because I've always used that name, for years, so I guess as handles go it's pretty much just what I pick by default. Now I go by Thornheart (Icehearted was invalidated before the fix to re-validate gamertags, f*****g Microsoft), which may sound like a name for a malicious Care Bear, but is actually the name of a character in a book.

Only so many people can be MarioFan that's how we get all these weird names like MonkeyBalloon and ones with numbers like MarioFan1991. They're just as good of names as any.

In general, you mean? because anyone could post anything as their username / steam name / etc... So as a way of identifying people (even arrogant arseholes) they are pretty damn useful. Also, NO; I don't have an xxXUB3R_371T3_5N1P3RXxx account, mine uses words from the english language.

No, it's not racist, it's just terribly ignorant and atleast it's a name that someone can pronounce easily.

Mine is Murdering Monk, I just hate people who have XXXX and numbers infront of thier name. like xX1TheBeast1Xx or something.
