Sandra Bullock won...Best Actress.

The rest I'm okay with. But...Sandra Bullock. Ugh.

Also, I thought Inglorious Basterds should have won for "Writing (Original Screenplay)" over "The Hurt Locker" for that one category.

But she is the first person in history to win an Oscar AND a Razzie in the same year.

Meh.

I havn't seen either of the films she was nominated for at either of the ceremonies so I couldn't really comment. It is rare that the Oscars are a great indication all round of how good films have been. Despite "The Hurt Locker" picking up the bigger awards "Avatar" got enough other, although not as good, awards to stop people from moaning too much.

Why?
Because she isn't that s*ut Megan Fox but infact, ACTUALLY A GOOD ACTOR?
Except Megan Fox wasn't even a nominee. She went up against Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep. You know, GOOD ACTRESSES.

That'd be good actress.

Anyway...Maybe I'm more angry at the movie she was nominated for. And that she won over Helen Mirren.

Sandra Bullock is a living legend who has appeared in dozens of classic films (which I haven't bothered to watch)! How dare you say she doesn't deserve all possible praise heaped upon her!

On a more serious note, I'm thrilled to see Christoph Waltz win best supporting. He was easily my favorite part of that movie, which is saying tons considering how much I enjoyed some of the other aspects :)

Sure Sandra Bullock has been a good actress, and been in good films, but I'm pretty sure all of those were before this last year. You know, the one she won the awrd for.

However, Christoph Waltz deserves everything he gets :)

Eh, best supporting actress this year had shit to select from and best actress had to go to the black woman, else they'd be called racist.
Ummm...Best Supporting was Mo'Nique. Best Actress was Sandra "Not Black" Bullock.

I'm surprised she won best anything really. But then again I stopped caring what Sandra Bullock was in after that shit fest Premonition with the infuriating ending! But I do agree with the one comment I would much rather see Sandra Bullock win then that wench Megan Fox (or Miley Cyrus but it probably will happen eventually sadly). However it doesn't much bug me cause I've stopped caring about the Academy Awards for most of my life they just piss me off considering about 4 channels out of my 20 get kicked off to show the damn things.

Inglorious bastards should have come out on top but as everyone knows if it isn't that set standard for what a movie should be then it has no chance at the Oscar's. If you look at the movies that won best picture they are actually movies i like, i guess its just an off year.

That would mean that they would have to get nominated first. I do hope they aren't THAT stupid.

EDIT: WAIT JUST ONE FUCKING SECOND HERE.

She won it for The Blind Side?! That mind meltingly bland turd of a film?! Jesus Christ, from this I conclude that not only are the Academy Awards selection committee stupid, they are also actually dangerous. Shoot on sight.
I'm out of ammo!

sandra bullock seems like a nice lady, not a great actress. She does seem, however, to have knocked this performance out of the park. It happens, hell, Cuba Gooding Jnr. won an oscar!

so glad bigelow won, she totally deserved it over cameron and tarantino. I'm not saying that because she's a woman, I'm saying that because the Hurt locker's really really good.
