1D is a dot.
2D is a line, or anything else except it's infinitely flat.

Thanks. Yes I was hesitating just before I wrote it... but I am sure it is correct.

yes of course looking at 2D things from and YZ or XZ persepective they would appear to be lines. Yet the XY plane shows us that... you can see that in Braid things are X pixels long and Y pixels high. Like a square. X and Y make for 2 dimension. 1D means things just have length (X) and that's it.
