If you could go back in time and stop a game from being made, which one would it be?

Final Fantasy
The most famous and influencial JRPG of all time.
[sarcasm]Nice.[/sarcasm]
And we found the fanboi.

yes it influenced all the other crappy so called JRPG's, witch need to be recatagorized for they are not even RPG's , but lowly Japanese animation games or JAG?s for short.
Fanboy...eh? I haven't even played FF 10-12 so, you can't really call me a 'fanboi' as you so oddly put it. Anyway aside from your many grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, I cannot see any evidence to disprove the fact FF is the most infuencial JRPG of all time.

I would not delete a single game because somewhere even the most lowly videogame has an audience.
What makes it our right to deprive people of something they might enjoy?
We have no right to force anything on others just because we do not like it.

Goldeneye, or at least the multiplayer.

What a terrible, terrible game. Maybe we'd see more quality console games without it instead of a bunch of crap trying to copy it (like Halo).

Either Sonic Adventure or Halo.

Sonic Adventure because... well, Sonic's never really been the same since that one, has he? Thankfully he's started recovering, but man did it take a long time.

Halo because of the things it introduced to other games. Like regenerating health, limited weapon slots, console fanboys and teabagging. Gah!

How in gods green earth is Halo a copy of Goldeneye? Regenerating life? Half as many weapons? Vehcles? Melee attack that isnt slapping?

While I could probably give or take most the games listed so far, I thought Goldeneye was a great step for consul fps, and possibly one of the greatest movie-to-game conversions going. It also led to Perfect Dark which was pretty good as well.

But back on topic: I'd possibly delete Halo from history, to get rid of all the current fps consuls that have REgen health, obligitory vehcle segment, etc. I'm not saying its a totally bad thing, but I feel its cons outweight the pros. Also, the fanboy whiney kids are annoying, and they do exist. :/

I would erase Deus Ex 2. It was such a massive disappointment; totally devoid of any of the features that made the first one so great.

The game is effectively a non-event in my memory. I hardly remember it.

I would erase Assassins Creed. It was bad to me. I hated every second of that game. So boring.

Just to see the change I might erase Pokemon. I want to see what the life would be like. It would be funny.

Finally...I'd erase both Halo 3 and MGS4. Ha take that X-Box 360 and PS3 fanboys. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hmm...I'm not much of a fan of JRPGs or MMORPGs in general. In my opinion, one is just a visual novel with some combat system slapped on and another is just a combat system extended to the power of 99, though I wouldn't remove either one because some people like them.

Plus as a nice bonus, it reminds me of what games I like and what people to avoid. >.>

Halo. Good bye fanboys! They bug me and although I don't have a beef with the game, I dislike the fanboys.
This thread has been done. And I'm yet to run into more than four of these mythical beings. Despite being told there are hordes of them out there, I'm yet to meet a fifth.
virtually just go on gametrailers, the website is crawling with them, as well as ps3 fanboys.I have yet to go onto that website and not have a ps3 vs 360 thread on the main page.

As for real life...I guess it just depends on who your friends are and who you talk to.

Maybe it's a Southern England thing....
I'm from North London (which is pretty south), and they definitely have Halo fanboys in London, some of my friends even are even halo fanboys and it makes me sick to my stomach. We even had the age old 'master chief vs samus' argument (or metroid as their ignorant selves called 'him' at first untill i corrected them o_O) and their reasons would always be crap like 'omg master chief is awesome he would break that little ***** in half!' or 'omg spartan laser would kill her' or just 'master chief is awesome'. I wanted to punch someone.

I don't like JRPGs either, but I don't go around spewing my hate and forcing my opinions on others. So please Mr.Myers, keep your arrogance and intolerance to yourself.

Id have to say world of warcraft. Goddamn i hate MMOs, and that blasted game started the whole MMO mess. It probably was inevitable, but at least warcraft would have been unspoiled.

What's wrong with the former two? And it didn't popularize that latter two.

If I'd go back in time I'd make a game have regenerating health and limited weapons sooner. That way maybe we wouldn't have all these people who think the only proper way to make a shooter is to make the play pick up arbitrary health packs to restore their hitpoints and allow them to carry an arsenal worthy of an apocalypse army.
