I want that time travelling device that Hermione was using (I forgot what it is called) the third Harry Potter book. I could use that right about now.
Time Turner, and that's magic! not sci-fi! :p

Medical Tricorder to claim the 10 million dollars from The X Prize Foundation.

I'd personally prefer a holodeck sure, but that's for completely self destructive reasons: Go in, never come out.
10 million could set me and my family for life.

There is obviously more profitable choices but I don't know why, I like to tread hypotheticals with a degree of plausibility, as if I'm afraid asking for to much will break the space/time fabric anomaly granting me such an event.

Also on the TARDIS note, I don't care to own a TARDIS (Which I'm sure none of us could operate anyways) I want David Tennant.
Does he count as an item?
If so does he come as a Timelord with his own Sonic Screwdriver and TARDIS?

more of a wish than an item.

cyberspace to replace internet, with computers all able to work with it.

Now - let's take the holodeck. First, I could 'create' a holoversion of any of the weapons, and have fun with 'em, without the very likely possibility of getting whacked.
I play video games now, and the incredibly sedate real things that I do are a billion times more fun, and certainly more fulfilling. I'd just like to have some tools that remove most of the annoyance from the real stuff that I do, like being able to get a body that doesn't suffer horrendous chronic back pain or need constant maintenance to even look semi-presentable.

I have no desire to remain a perpetual child living in a fantasy world.

The Death Star. Principally because I want to know how the damn thing hyperspace jumps without an engine... or moves for that matter.

It has a massive hyperspace generator (If you read The Death Star, it is about the construction of it) the hyperspace generator also powers the laser?? check on this.

A TARDIS.

It opens up all kinds of options!
THIS. Especially if at some point it could go into a nice young man and we could have a chat...

A replicator, then I'd just replicate all the other stuff I want. I win :)

EDIT, Yay Double post. I saw that one comming from miles away -.-
wow you must be sitting really far away from your screen =S

O.T. I'd probably go for super powers; shapeshifting, invulnerability (even in space), super speed & flight, fire control would be nice, and ice, and lightning, time travel would jsut top that off as well.

i don't care that it said one thing, super powers is one thing, no matter how many you have =P
