If you had superpowers would you tell anyone?

That depends. If I had super speed and strengh, then I'd just threaten to kill them if they tell anyone, so I'd probably tell a few.

Hells yes, if I had super powers, I would yell it out to absolutely everyone. What can I say? If I become super-powerful, humility is not in my handbook.

It would also be totally awesome when you're skiing or snowboarding! Instead of having to wait in line and take the chairlift, you just zap back up to the top of the run!

Depends on the power, my ideal superpower would be something like Speed, Flight or Teleportation, so I'd probably use it in secret and tell nobody about it, but secretly doing good deeds under cover of darkness, perhaps create an alter ego.

if i was summin like super strength i would probably only tell my best friend because even though its awesome it has a rediculously high risk attached to it
but if it more in line with the infinite power of god (or gods if you are in a poly-thiestic religion)
i would show off like no tomorrow because nothing would have any consequence and it'de be hard to resist telling someone that

I like this idea... I'm very much rethinking my choice of superpowers now.

Yeah and people might possibly start noticing if I was tearing through a city with my powers...plus what would be the point of having God-like powers if no one was going to worship you in fear.

I'm thinking I'd be less on the hero side...more on the world conquering

Personally I would only tell one of my friends if anyone but I wouldn't spread it to the world, there'd probably be too many lawsuits if I smashed stuff, or I'd be taken away and researched.

On the other hand I'd get loads of money if people knew my superpowers...but I can't see why I can't gain fame with my mask on.

Sure. I'd want to make sure someone else could see me using them, and that I wasn't actually insane and in a completely delusional state.

Of course, the person I showed might be a figment of my mind, but if I was that far gone than I'd have other, larger issues.

Besides, I'd need a side-kick.

It would depend on the awe factor. Flight, invulnerability, climbing walls, speed; they're all flashy with good awe potential. Telepathy, super healing, corrosive phlegm; those would either scare or repulse people having very poor awe potential.

What's the point of being the champion of all that is good and just if all you can do is melt things with your vomit.

Depends what power it was.

For example: the ability to change the colour of my hair to pink at any given time: yes, or I'd just come across as even more messed up.

The ability to exterminate the human race, not so much, I'll let them find that out themselves.

I don't think I would. People are afraid of superheroes, including X-Men and a number of things. I think that I'd tell everyone and say "Hey, one day, we'll all have super powers. Nothing to fear, folks. We're growing up.".
