if God was real and I would meet him, I would probably ask him what he's been on for the past couple of thousand years and if I could get some.

LOL @ all the hardasses. Face it, if God showed up you would be too busy begging for forgiveness to do anything else.

There is a big difference between believing that there is no God and him staring you dead in the face.

Oh and to all the Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin people..... Free Will, same thing that caused Eve to muck it up for everyone.

Really? you may be an athiest but that doesn't mean you have to spoil the spirit of the thread.
Hardly spoiling it. The OP asked what I would do if I met God. That is what I would do.

I'd show him a Babelfish, and then watch him vanish in a puff of logic.
Whoa, it took 23 posts for a Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference to be made, it's a new record!

OT: I would probably, just like many people already said, ask him "why?". Then, I'd get ready to commit suicide, either because I had been wrong all my life, or because the truth was actually as bad as I had thought.

There is no god to meet.

The race or perhaps singular creature capable of changing our universe would be by all means inhuman, which isn't such a bad thing overall unless you're trying to talk to it. It doesn't NEED to talk to you. It doesn't want to. You're less then a speck of dust.

And what pisses me off is the whole christian-centric theme here. It's not "God". It's "a god".

Hey God. Sorry about all that stuff I did...
Uh...
Wow.
...
Can we have magic? Please.
Also, dragons. Pretty please.

So how would such a probation be deserved? If implications that there is no god (and there isn't, go try to prove it without screaming "faith faith faith" which is pretty pathetic given the hypocrisy those people show towards other aspects of life) are considered trolling by those who are undoubtedly theists, implications that there IS a god is no less offensive towards atheists.

Unprovable beliefs deserve NO respect. They aren't deep. They're shallow and weak.

Oy! This isn't an argument anyone wants. Lets just drop it and move on. Yes?

I doubt he'd/it'd/she'd kill you. Just make it so that you can literally never stop thinking about "The Game."

I wouldn't mind such an argument. The religious bullying must stop.

But for the sake of not being probated by close-minded mods, I guess I might as well leave this thread. Arguing with a believer is not that different from arguing with a brick wall.
