Athism is a love of people. You are nice to people because thats the right thing to do. Not because you could go to hell if you treat people crap. Some christians are fine, they live their life and are accepting of people....as they should. Others are egotistical arseholes that think belief makes them better than everyone else. There are arseholes in all religions, those that dont get it.

Me? I dont believe in any religion. An i dont commit crimes. Dont treat people like crap. I live by the law and by the rules of a civilised world. So why is it i live my life better than most religious people do? An im the one that wont get into heaven? You know, if heaven is full of them arsehole and reformed criminals then i dont want to be there.

These are idiots. Idiots who don't understand the very backbone of their own religion.

Then again, even as an atheist, American Atheists, Inc. bothers me. Not enough to warrant the stupidity that these morons are spewing out, but still...

Boo!

OT: Yeah, some people are stupid. This is not at all exclusive to christianity. I'm not trying to justify it, however. This is not cool.

You know what's very funny if you're sick like me? Christ when asked; "What is the true religion?", had this to say; "Their isn't one true religion. All you need to do to get into heaven is be a good person."
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Don't ever worry about not believing in God. God doesn't care!
So, just be a good person. For goodness's sake, and nothing more.

God is the truth you don't have to believe in, and religion is the lie everyone else tries to make you believe.

(Also, keep in mind that atheism IS a form of religion. Just don't go nuts with your beliefs like these too groups have, please. Thank you.) ;)

Idiots. Wishing harm unto others for something as (physically) trivial as faith goes against the very teachings they are preaching. I find it funny in a sad way as to how many Christians ignore some of the most basic commandments of their religion. I hope that these were just rage comments and none of those people are that sick.

@ this isnt my name: Day has been made. Thank You.

"these people are f'ing scum of the earth. can we start killing them now? few groups are filled with more hatred than atheists."

What the? It's been proven that religion(or rather christianity) is one of the biggest mistakes of the human history.
It set back technology with a hundred years or so(can't remember numbers) and slaughtered tons and tons of people.

I still can't believe how people think they know a god exists. Accordning to history, man made that shit up and if you don't believe that... How can you be a christian?

Well people will believe what they believe, but I think it's crazy(and mentally unstable) to even consider it.

Now with that said, I know religion has helped a lot of people in various ways.

Also, those posts saying "they're atheists, kill them"; Who's gonna kill them? My guess is none. None of the christians would risk their chance of going to heaven now would they? And none of the none-christians care.

Really, those posts make me terribly uneasy. I always see posts on Facebook that say, "If you aren't afraid of being a Christian and a True American repost this." Are you kidding? Be afraid of being a Christian? I'm more afraid of not - and these post confirm why. Because I have been threatened before. In high school, by a bunch of overly religious girls who were offended that I said I didn't believe and that I thought God didn't exist. I seriously thought they were going to jump me for Jesus. What always irritates me is the Christians = True Americans, part. Yeesh. *sigh* These people are sad and ignorant. I don't even care if they believe and if they live their lives that way, but they shouldn't threaten those that are different and have different views. It's extremely childish and these are unnecessary disturbingly violent reactions.
Here is one thing I will NEVER understand about the states...
How is it that the first country ever created with the founding ideal of seperation between church and state, the first country to ever make THAT big a deal out of it... How is it that this country has "In god we trust" on their currency, is run by religious agendas more often than political, and is so incredibly religiously zealous... Yet is still (is secular the word?) seperating church and state?! Dunno about you, but I can't think of many countries that go entirely against one of their founding ideals, and remain a country...

Sources from Funnyjunkers? I'm with those who question how true that post is without confirmation. That being said, it is sadly no stretch of the imagination to see extremists post such virulent hatred. What's surprising is that those could be real FB profiles. I'd love to see the reaction of some of those posters months from now in a job interview:

Interviewer: So, could you tell us a little about yourself?
Poster: I like sports and volunteer weekly.
Interviewer: Very good of you. How do you feel about team work?
Poster: Teamwork is important.
Interviewer: Interesting. Now according to your Facebook profile you called for the rape and execution of atheists. Care to comment?
Poster: ...
Interviewer: Thank you for your time. Good day.

Ha ha ha ha ha! You have heard of the Crusades, right?

Ha! God isn't the problem, it's people. God didn't make religion. People made it. In fact if you boil the "big three" in america down to the main points God really has almost nothing to do with religion, except being the "reason" you haue to do what ever the religion tells you. They are mostly just the life styles forced down onto other people by big groups who want everyone to believe what they believe and not just about "what God is", but everything that we do in our daily lives. To control what we do, and what we think. That is the goal of most religious groups.

That said; God is the truth we don't have to believe in, and religion is the lie everyone wants you to believe.

(Also, remember that atheism IS a form of religion. Please don't shove in peoples faces.) ;)

Fething muppets.

If I did believe in god then I would have a vision of him reading that link and doing a world shattering sized facepalm.
Ditto, with every word. I'm agnostic myself but seeing people like this is just downright embarrassing, regardless of what faith one belongs to, if not, lack thereof.

Only in theory. In the bible there are many passages about how it is allowed to rape people if they don´t believe in Yahwee, about how slavery is cool if slaves are people from other religions, and there is one passage that says that if the village next to you doesn´t coomit to God (They don´t need to not believe, they can believe but just not go to church each Sabbath - sunday, that is - and by the way, if anyone works on sabbath must be put to death according to the "Holy Book") you need to invade them, kill them all, but spare the mothers long enough so they can see their little enfants´ heads be clashed agaisnt rocks, then kill the mothers (and they dedicate an entire passage to killing pregnate women). Ya know, just go to Youtube and put NonStampCollector. Funny as Hell(ahah)
Rawne1980, that's right. It's hypocrisy. JamesStone... what passages say that? Is it Old Testament or New? Jeebus.. |:

Yeah I've heard about the crusades, if you read you notice I kind of mention it.
But the crusades were holy. What they're talking about, how's that holy?

So, I have no choice of being in a religion?
Atheism is not a religion, it's the absence of religion and belief in god(s).

i have seen many people with their favoutrite champs as their dp recently, perhaps i have started something :D (except that i will have to change mine now due to the nerf D:)
OT; lol americans. seriously though every group has its ridiculous extremists, this is no different. For every 10 of these crazy people there are 100 000 sane christians, maybe more. I have met many a sane christian that accept my lack of belief and don't try to force anything on me.
Some people say Rammus is op, my avatar says my opinion.

OT: Why cant the FCC shut down Fox News instead of censoring every other station. They cause more problems than retrieving actual facts
