Well I grew up in Windsor, Ontario which means that most of the people I grew up with rooted for the Wings. Thus, I probably would've gotten my ass kicked a lot more between '96 and '99 for my name. For those who don't know, the Colorado Avalanche (aka the Avs) and the Detroit Red Wings were the NHL's biggest rivalry in the late 90's/early 2000's. For a decade or so this was the NHL's version of the BoSox and the Yankees or ManU and Liverpool.
