I'd build an MMORPG, with heavy emphasis on RPG. Open PvP, but griefing is completely intolerable. If you start running around and killing everyone just for fun, you're banned. If you grossly break immersion (out of place character names, excessive OOC chatter in non-OOC channels, et cetera), you're given a verbal warning, suspended, then banned as incremental steps. The GM staff would be on hand to help with bugs and complaints and the like, but also to run big and small events all the time. Basically, I'd recreate the wonder of EverQuest. Back when the world was huge, GM events could happen at any time, and the only people playing MMOs were the people who wanted a mix of Dungeons & Dragons and LARP. It wouldn't be profitable, and I don't care. For the people who actually enjoy an entire world to ROLEPLAY in, it would offer something that no MMO dares to do.

Oh god I would play the shit out of that game!

OT: I'd spend it all on A.I development and then it could make the ultimate gaming experience!
(Also, I hate auto-correct, writing this was a nightmare to write)

I think I'd make a persistent-world zombie apocalypse co-op game or MMO, complete with:

-To-scale playable zone of one or more of the 50 United States, or the entire country, or another country, or multiple countries. Hell, with a big enough budget, we'd have the whole world playable
-Fully destructible environment, provided the means are sufficient
-Fortification system that allows players to make their own base out of whatever they find
-Vehicle customization that lets players drive any vehicle and modify it how they like
-Character customization down to shoelace color, where placement of items on the outfit affects how quickly that item can be utilized
-Crafting system that makes use of almost anything one could find
-Human needs system (hunger, thirst, sleep, waste disposal, etc.) that keeps players from just hiding, but doesn't have them running out into the city for a bottle of water every twenty minutes
-Leveling system that reflects characters' increasing proficiency with the weapons they use, along with proficiency in non-combat skills
-Combat system that features a different skill and fighting style for a large amount of different weapons, i.e. a sledgehammer isn't used the same way as a fire axe, nor are a riot baton and kitchen knife
-NPC's in their own factions that, depending on player behavior, treat players differently, as well as other factions
-Ability to toggle whether there are a finite amount of rations, munitions, NPC's, and zombies in the game world
-Resource replenishment system such as farming for food, purifying water, reloading ammunition, and childbirth for new NPC's
I have wanted this for most of my life, I have also suggested your best points on many threads like this.

Please, someone, MAKE THIS GAME!

It would be really cool and fun. I would also make this game if I got the money!
Also I would base the hunger, dehydration and etc, based on life, you can life without food for three weeks and water for three days!

I'd make a new Skies of Arcadia game. Possible keep the main story, the world, the battle system and make an MMORPG, but one way or another I would make it happen. They have teased us with a new Skies of Arcadia game for too long. I just want to see it happen.

I always thought it would be cool to make a zombie RTS where you can play as the Zombies. Try to conquer the world and stuff.

Other idea I've had for a long time, an adventure game that starts off really low level, like old Atari level graphics. But as you advance the gameplay and graphics subtley get better moving from 4 bit to 8 bit to 16 bit and so on until by the end it looks like a current gen game. Also, decisions that you make along the way determine what genre of game it turns into as it gets more complicated.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

If Marketing reveals, beyond a shadow of a doubt after extremely extensive review that that will flop, then I'll have an Evil Dungeon Management Sim made, like Dungeon Keeper. Spells powered by money, attract minions, keep them happy, well fed, paid and a roof over their head. Keep them busy making traps and fortifacations,or training to keep sharp. Have them research new spells and other things. Torture prisoners, and maybe convert a few! Make sacrafices at the temple to appease the dark gods...Or royally piss 'em off. Conquer your foes.

Or,maybe,a revolutionary new RTS. Players can operate on any scale they want;on the grand scale they have to manage everything, from logistics to battle movements. Down from that will be "Supreme Commander" scale, where some things are automated, but not everything. Next level down is "Command & Conquer" scale, where you only manage base building and battle movement, but with the option to exert limited control over economy. After that is Tactical Scale, where the entire base is automated, and the player only has control over units, which they "requisition" themselves. And finally there's Boots on the Ground, where it turns into a squad-based (giving simple orders, like Chromehounds or Mass Effect) FPS. Economy will be handled like Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander 1,where they will be constantly streaming, and the player has to manage drain vs draw to keep optimal, and know when to go into drain to get something important done. Everything will have an upkeep cost. The player will be able to zoom out to an orbital view,to be able to observe everything on a wider scale. Also, yes. You'll have to manage unit ammunition on the grandest scale. Morale for most RTS modes, too.

I like complicated RTS's,so long as the complicated bits make sense. [Glares at StarCraft]

Well, first thing I would do is take complete advantage of the fact you never used the term "video" in giving me the money, proceed to rent the city of Monaco, purchase ten or so formula one cars, outfit them with go-kart style protective bumpers, and use them to give the world's most extreme version of Badminton.

And of course once that loophole is firmly closed up I'll go ahead and make a hybrid game involving Metroid style exploration and character progression, movement mechanics somewhat lifted from Mirror's Edge, and randomized 3D dungeons & caverns as you play a dashing rogue who finds himself trapped in an underground environment (think the first Ultima Underworld) and is trying to make his way back to the surface.

What I would really do is put that money in a saving account and move to a nice country to live out my life as a lazy beach boy.

But in the interest of the thread then I would say, give it to the next good kickstarter that came along.

A bioware written game, with the same kind of freedom and space as one of the Elder Scrolls, but with characters that are scripted like those in mass effect. Also, the main character is someone like Hawke, as in, she will be able to be snarky. You can't choose to play a male. The story is written with a female lead in mind.

An RPG, not an action one like every other RPG out there, but NWN-style. Set in the Greyhawk world with two game styles.

Tale - A story-driven game which follows 6 premade characters from level 1 all the way to Level 40.

Chronicle - A sandbox playstyle where the character made by the player who explores a world and runs into various plots unlocked in the Tale mode.

This will be built on the 3.5e rules.

If people want 4th edition, they can do it themselves, but they can host their own mods because I wouldn't 4th e to affect the decent ruleset.

Can I break up the money over multiple projects? Or can you fund all my ideas? I'm not sure which one to pour money into first...

8th generation of consoles game.
FPS action-RPG set on Earth, A terraformed Mars, and 2 planets in a different solar system.
Fallout levels of gore.
1 of the bosses is fought like the bird colossi from SOTC.
Weapons include magic, guns, and melee, (both modern and futuristic).
Armor varies based on magic, gun, and melee resistance with appearance based on resistance.
Skyrim stealth system to keep things simple.
Each planet has
.it's own unique enemies.
.an open area about half the size of AC:B
.small scattered places accessible through the transport system during certain quests
.at least 2 moderately large cities
.4 bosses including 1 giant one
.huge awesome environments.
.4 unique different types of quests (like killing, retrieval, defense, demolition, collection, boss fight, sabotage, repair, scouting, stealth, assassination, mining, base occupation etc...) in addition to the 7 generic types of quests.
.125 quests per planet
5 types of Vehicles ranging from heavy tank to weak but ultra-fast assault bike.
That's all I got for now. I'll come back after exercise and breakfast.
