Modern Warfare 2 destroyed its creators in the evilist way possible, so I declare it to be the Evilest Game of All Time.

As far as flops go, I'd say anything Peter Molineaux did recently.

Force Unleashed crushed one or two dreams. If they have another pull down a star destroyer sequence in the next game then hopefully they'll fix the controls.
This. Put up with a lot of flaws in this game because GOD DAMN IT it was good... but that mission was fucking awful. TFU II should be good.

Fable 2.

Too easy, Dying is only a minor inconvenience, horrible story, horrible combat, horrible stupid ending.
I loved fable 1 and 2... Looking forward to 3 while blocking put the sound of Molonuex...
OT: Two Worlds... FAIL. Who decided to make a sequal?

Lol anybody ever play Mission Impossible 64?
I actually kinda liked that game...I played through it a few times anyway :p

Biggest flop in my opinion for games I personally played...Superman on the N64.

That was not so much a game as a thing you had vague input on.

The worst flop of all time? Twilight Princess, easily. The runner-up is ME2, which is in turn followed closely by KOTOR 2.

The worst game of all time? ^I don't know^, but I thought Lost Odyssey was nothing short of painful.
I love how you said games that sold in the millions flopped.

Force Unleashed. I was so hyped and I thought it was going to be awesome. It turned out it was a mindless hack&slash button masher with quite a lot of quick time events. Also story sucked. Graphics were good though.

Duke Nukem Forever. The only game that was so bad that when it was released, it was immediately removed from shelves and the devs claimed "they're reworking the engine." Yeah, like I believe that. /sarcasm

But 12 years and nothing to prove? I'd say that's a HUGE flop.
duke forever was never released to the public.....

I know, the "/sarcasm" was to imply that I was saying the first part sarcastically.

Daikatana anyone?
I was about to post this.

From what I remember when I actually gave a shit about the gaming industry, Daikatana was a flop on par with the Virtual Boy.

I have no game in mind, but according to my friend Fable 2 did this to him.
Fable 2 made money and is both passable and playable. It's shallow, stupid, and filled with superfluous features, but it's not a flop by any measure, not compared with ET.

???

Except Lost Odyssey and maybe KOTOR 2 (because I don't know those statistics off the top of my head), those were all rousing financial successes in continuing series. What the bloody hell are you smoking?

Look, folks, a flop is a game that is objectively a commercial and creative failure, not just something that you don't like or that disappointed you. I could call Kingdom Hearts 2 a flop and in my mind I've got a lot of excellent reasons for thinking it's complete trash, but the truth is that it's sold millions of copies.

Now, what is a flop? Too Human.

More than that though? [a href="http://www.cinemassacre.com/2010/04/30/avgn-episode-90-action-52/"]Action 52[/a].

In order :
4) Two Worlds (The guy behind the counter at EB said it was going to replace Oblivion)
3) Fable 2 (For how much Lionhead bragged about this games immersion, I found it to be the least immersive game ever made. I had more emotional attachment to Pac-Man)
2) Halo ODST

1) MILO (Now they are saying it was a Tech Demo...sure sure Microsoft, sorry you couldn't deliver, but don't play us as fools.)

Hahaha, oh wow.

Sorry, but I don't see how Twilight Princess can be 'easily' considered a flop, by any stretch of the imagination.
1. It was a Zelda game, which are ostensibly all very good.
2. It had Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask to live up to.
3. It wasn't the second coming of Jesus, and as such was a flop.
Okay that still doesn't add up for why you think ME2 or Lost Odyssey are bad.

You think Lost Odyssey is in the running for worst game of all time? Really? You can't think of anything worse? I wanna be playing whatever you are playing.

My expectations for 3 aren't high, but we'll see. May I ask what you liked about 2? Fable 1 remains to be a favorite of mine.

To be fair. The sequel doesn't look as bad as the first one. If two worlds...two, fixes the lag problems and ditches the horrible acting then it might be decent. I liked the fact that the world was really big and had tons to explore, but everything else was pretty bad. I did play it for 30+ hours before I gave up on it.

I work at a Gamestop. We are constantly sold out of Halo: ODST (despite my intervention to sell better shooters). I'd hardly say that's a symptom of a flop.

Alan Wake for me. I was hyped up on it by so many of my buddies that I was expecting a truly innovative third person experience that would change the way I played games forever. All I got was a mediocre game that had a story I did not enjoy.
