"You know what else is bad for business? A broken neck!" Garrus, ME2.

"If somebody wins, the person who fought against that person will lose. That's battle. A good contender just seeks the next victory without bragging after winning, and without getting upset after losing." Grimsley, Pokemon Black/White.

"Don't believe in yourself, believe that I believe in you"--Kamina from Gurren Lagann(not exact wording but the ideas the same)
I don't get this. I thought this was a hilarious parody of motivational speeches the first time somebody linked the video, but it's apparently meant to be taken seriously. What possible good does it do me if other people believe in me? It's just such a nonsensical phrase.

OT: Pretty much anything from the Legacy of Kain series would do. Instead, I'll go with a choice Prisoner quote, because that show is amazing.

No.6: ?I'm gonna escape and come back.?
No.2: ?Escape and come back . . . ??
No.6: ?Ah, yes--escape, come back, wipe this place off the face of the earth, obliterate it . . . and you with it.?

Also, the letter in V for Vendetta makes me cry every time I reread it. The relevant bits:
"But it was my integrity that was important. Is that so selfish? It sells for so little, but it's all we have left in this place. It is the very last inch of us. But within that inch we are free...
...I shall die here. Every last inch of me shall perish. Except one.

An inch. It's small and it's fragile and it's the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it, or sell it, or give it away. We must never let them take it from us."

Lastly, a quote from a Silver Mount Zion song:
"We are an army, if we believe we are an army."

Captcha: Know your rights. Damn straight.

I considered having this tattooed on my arm at one point just so I could point to it so that people know where they stand with me

"I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor, that's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that. We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful. But we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in:

machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little:

More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say "Do not despair". The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die, liberty will never perish...

Soldiers: don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder. Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate, only the unloved hate. Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers: don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty.

In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written: "The kingdom of God is within man" Not one man, nor a group of men, but in all men; in you, the people. You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let's use that power, let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness."

I win?

It's from a 1940s film called The Great Dictator [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032553/]. It's a classic, you should watch it.

"I remember the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita. Vishnu was trying to persuade the prince that he should do his duty. To impress him, he takes on his mostly armed form and says, 'now I am become death, destroyer of worlds'. I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."
-Robert Oppenheimer, nuclear scientist prior to the detonation to Trinity, the first atom bomb

Strange how we can go from Chaplin and Oppenheimer to Tyler the Creator in a couple of posts. Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing but... strange. Definitely strange(although the Odd Future stuff is definitely irritating).

Someone once told me: Aim high and expect to get knocked down... as you will be dissapointed if you aim low and expect others to realise your potential! I live by that!

Also: The entire Brtish empire was built on cups of tea, and if you think I am going to war without one, mate, you're mistaken!

?Occasionally. One of the things I?ve used on the Google is to pull up maps. It?s very interesting to see that. I forgot the name of the program, but you get the satellite and you can ? like, I kind of like to look at the ranch on Google, reminds me of where I want to be sometimes." - Not going to say who but I also like the Google and its maps.

A personal favorite of mine from Stephen King:

"What Darwin was too polite to say, my friends, is that we came to rule the earth not because we were the smartest, or even the meanest, but because we have always been the craziest, most murderous motherfuckers in the jungle."
