Is $6400 dollars a suitable punishment for animal cruelty? (redhooded newborn puppy killer)

I think a more fitting punishment would be many hours of community service, particularly cleaning kennels at animal shelters and other pleasant jobs like that. Paying a fine sucks but forcing her to dedicate her own time for months to do something unpleasant will give her more time to think about what she did and why it was wrong. The fine is harsh but it ends quickly and she will probably not care after a month or two.

I mean, if she had two work 16 hours a week for a year she would have a lot longer to think and also provide a lot more good for the community then just handing of $6,400 does.

I don't think that it's enough, because really you're punishing her parents, not her. Her parents might exact some home punishment, though. Depends if she's having an income, actually.

Well its a start, but its still not enough.
I don't know seeing how the average yearly income per capita of Bosnia and Herzegovina is somewhere between 6,300 and 7,700 depending on which organization you trust more it should still be enough to give you an idea of how much money that is to these people. It is far to much to take from them. It could cost them their life savings, and possibly their homes as well.

They should wave the fine and just send her to a male prison.

I think she should be shot.
Yes because advocating and wishing to see the rape, murder, and torture of an eleven year old girl is a great sign of mental health. Unless of course you didn't mean that, but are just so used to being the tough guy on the internet becasue you know you never have to worry about following through.

We all know that the later is the case so why even bother pretending? You wouldn't kill this girl for killing puppies and if you did you would be a worse person then her in my eyes.
I think it This case, its the former, friend. No one here wants to see an eleven year old girl raped, and you know what else? No one wants to see an eleven year old girl throw innocent puppies into a river either. no one here is acting like an internet tough guy, were all just mad at some stupid psychotic ***** who thinks its funny to throw animals into a river and watch them suffer. as for the parent's losing their houses, well, maybe they should have been paying more attention to their clearly fucked up child.

A flat, 6800 isn't smart. It should be $400 and up. Then maybe people would be more keen to smack people in teh face with the law.

Threatening HUMAN LIFE isnt' even that much(speeding tickets and the like)
You can't really compare speeding to drowning puppies in a river.
She wasn't threatening animal life, she was killing them.

Maybe if it were just a case of her beating a dog, but she drowned six newborn pups in a river, she should at the very least be jailed for several months (Or maybe severely beaten).

Its eastern Europe, they were most likely unwanted puppies and would've starved to death anyway i seriously don't get what all the fuss is about
So it's ok to kill a living creature for shits and giggles if "They would've starved to death anyway?" You sir disgust me, both with your serious lack of compassion and your atrocious grammar.

Honestly, vets put down puppies and other cute animals everyday, and most likely for the SAME REASON. Extra animals have to be dealt with, and leaving them to the wild would be a much worse death.

The only thing wrong here is that she enjoyed it, and put it on the internet. Those actions are what she should be punished for.

Community service and counseling would be quite sufficient.

I honestly think that Animal Cruelty is not good. But I think 6400 dollars is overdoing it a bit.
but dude... she actually threw puppies in to a river. You could hear them yelping, and she just tossed them in like they were garbage (and she enjoyed it...)

Nothing deserves to be treated like that

Would you do that to people with cancer?

Most likely, her parents are going to need to pay; and unless her parents played a part in what she did, that doesn't seem fair.

Two words, Jigoku Shoujo. I'm sure they could think of a fitting punishment.

Maybe my emotions are getting the better of me, but I think such people should be sent to labour camps in Siberia.

No.
What she did was one of the most disgusting things I've heard of, it still makes me sick when I think about it
A fine is not enough
