Absolutely not! And quite frankly I'm relieved to find someone else who doesn't completely hate the game. *cough cough*sheep*cough*
Sure there are a number of things about it I could complain about, and yes I will agree that Adam does come across as a douche, but none of these things are game breaking to me. Right now I'm at the infamous battle with Ridly, and yeah the "freak-out" scene is a little strangle, but not completely unjustifiable. After all I'm assuming Other M takes place prior to Fusion, and although Ridly does have an uncanny ability to return from the dead, he was blown to bits and then the PLANET his scattered corpse was on was blown to bits, so I'm pretty sure Samus didn't expect him to come back after that one.
Also for those who whine about Samus' character, with the exception of the "freak-out" scene, I don't really find her character in 'Other M' all that inconsistent with how I always imagined it. I always imagined her as a fierce, but not uncaring warrior type, which so far has been consistent, again except for the "freak-out" scene.
Also yes the whole Authorization mechanic is a royal pain, but nothing I can't live with.
I love your view of the "Hell run." When you look at it that way, it is quite funny. And the hell run itself was a particularly interesting challenge.
The only thing that still bugs me that I can't explain away is what the fuck is "Other M" supposed to mean?
