I went to a Christian book store the other day. The sign out front said Christians 50% off. I figured I would stock up. You never know when you will come across some lions.

This is not an appropriate place for appealing moderation decisions. Take it to PM.

Everyone is open for mocking, in my opinion.

Christians are as mock-worthy as Jews, Buddhists, Cyclists, Cats, Chairs, Plumbers etc etc.

But to single any one out for mocking is obviously unacceptable.

Yeah, I'd agree with you. You may have started a controversial topic, but you yourself have been fairly civil throughout. Unless I missed something in the previous pages

That's becuase Christian are quite frankly to large of an institution to get their feeling hurt by harmless jokes.
Chrisitanity is just an large group of people. People can get their feelings hurt.

For some reason I feel the need to introduce you to the monkeyshpere now(supposing you haven't already read it]:http://www.cracked.com/article_14990_what-monkeysphere.html
A) That's fucking awesome
B) Not really sure what that has to do with anything.
There is a correlation there between believing a large group of people are not actually people and cannot possibly receive human emotions just because of the size of said group and the idea of the monkeysphere. Has something to do with you comprehending that group as one entity instead of a culmination of thousands of separate individuals.

I've read that article a few dozen times and for a communications class. Was great fun.

I'm not done with it but I highly agree with most of it. Especially how people CAN'T care about so many people. Thus proving that the people who yell at me for not pretending to care about those poor starving people in 3rd world countries are hypocrites. (it's not that I want these poor people to die it's just that it doesn't affect me)

I think a more interesting question would be why it is okay to mock cults on just about any forum but you can't say a damn thing about any religion.

Seriously try saying something about any religion on a gaming forum of a company like Bethesda.

While you can make fun of heaven's gate all day you best not make fun of people trying to get to the gates of heaven.

Also comes down the the humor of trying to get mods to differentiate between what is a cult and what is a religion. The best response I've gotten so far was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion.

They told me if it is in the page I can't mock it. I found the response enlightening and disheartening all in the same moment.

Frankly, I find this to be bullshit. It's not "okay" to mock any religion, any minority, any fecking anything. Oh, we can all have a good laugh at ourselve once in a while, but the line has to be drawn when people are actually, genuinely prejudiced against the group. No one "deserves" any of this. Christians aren't some inherently evil cultists, and I don't think anyone here has the right to say so.

Thats one of my favorite things about it as well. I like the part where he talks about turning political figure into caricatures, mostly because it reminds me of what I do on forums sometimes.

ps. I don't suppose you like Cheetos?

I DO like Cheetos but that's not why I chose this,
Chester was originally a children's cool kid but in the new commercial they turned him into an antisocial Professor Baddass. Which I though was hilarious,

Everybody deserves to be made fun. Everybody. The world would be a better place if we could all just make fun of each other and not be so uptight about it.

It really is, but lets not discuss it. I'm doing my best to not derail topics. ha.
