Warcraft 3, and Worms 2 I think. There were others, but those are the games I played on that very night.

lol I was convinced that I was the only person on earth aside from my brother who knew of Future Cop LAPD.
We only ever had the demo, but you got the whole first level in single player and co-op and the Precinct Assault game mode.

OT: Back then I was definitely playing Ratchet and Clank on my big black PS2. It was the first game I ever bought with my own money and I was so damn proud of it. The best part was that, against all odds of picking a bad game, I picked one of the game that will always go down as one of my favorite games of all time.
Haha, ditto, however, if you have a PS3 or a PSP, it's on the PSN! for like £3.99 or something silly
lol trust me, I know ^^

I actually bought it at a pawn shop of all places, for $3.50 AUD (australian dollars), which is about 2 Pounds. The amazing thing was that it still works amazingly!

Is it just me or does EA REALLY need to dig up this old game series and remake it all awesome like for PS3?

If pokemon Gold was out at that time, then I was playing that. If not, then I was playing Pokemon Yellow, Majora's Mask and briefly touching the original Starcraft before ragequitting.

System Shock 2 in co-op.
The best co-op game ever.

Also a fair bit of StarCraft and Tiberian Sun. And some of the Counter-Strike betas - but my machine couldn't handle that, so I used to go to Internet cafés for my CS needs.

Oh, I also played a lot of Team Fortress. I mean the original Team Fortress - the Quake 1 mod.

I remember playing Mission Impossible on N64 on News Years Eve 1999, so I'm pretty sure I played it in 2000 as well.

That and Majora's Mask. Lots and lots of Majora's Mask.

Final Fantasy IX was my Game of the Year that year, but that was also the year I first got a PC of my own (a 1996-issue IBM with a Pentium 133MHz and Windows 95). I played Civ 2, Warcraft 2, and Caesar 2 on it.
