On ' league of legends ' I've had teams in which the 'tanks' runs away from fights at full health, guys who decides that the game is lost and goes to the enemy base to suicide and feed while texting 'Hey guys, free food here!!'.

Guys who talk 'I am the best on this game' and won't help in battles, or run early, and then boast about their lack of deaths... and call you and your team noobs, pissing everyone off.

But on the other side, I've found some cool teammates and we've made parties to raid the pubs, with great success.

The two sides of online gaming, I'd say to solve this is to add friends and squelch the people who just piss you off, I've found it more pleasurable that way.

Sace phenomenon with Team Fortress 2, when one team has a run of bad luck, all the "pro" players (who don't like to lose) join the winning team or just leave. So without FREQUENT team-scramble you end up with hugely mismatched teams, often heavily outnumbered such as 18 to 16.

When you are on an incompetent team it doesn't matter how good you are, you can't get anything done, you see medics wandering around healing no-one, pyros running head on into heavies, you can't put a sentry up because idiots are constantly taking ammo because they are 3-rounds short of max-ammo. Plus no one will cover you or you will build a sentry and see another engie come along... do they help you build? NO they build another lvl 1 sentry DIRECTLY NEXT TO YOURS and then just endlessly hammer it even when they've got no metal left.

Grrr....arrghhh.... must not... RAGE... QUIT!!!!
Whats even worse about the engineer thing is when they keep taking YOUR metal out of YOUR dispenser that YOU built

Medieval Total war 2. My opponent had the worst ally ever. I charged soon as the game started with my scottish army and the army directly in front of me, TURNED TAIL AND ROUTED! I mean hundreds of men in kilts and heavy plate with pikes, swords, axes and claymores is fearful enough but he had enough archers to make me hurt and enough infantry to stop/slow my charge. His ally then turns half of his army to engage my force which has no causlties yet and opens himself up to my French ally's massive calvary charge. He's dead, his ally routed off the field and i suffer 19 dead and my ally lost 15 men. We killed 1145 and the entire army of the other guy routed. His excuse was it was unwinable. I would have lost if he held his ground.

I got stuck with a ally in supreme commander who nuked half of my base because it was under attack...15 nukes! He also built lots of tanks on his island and no transports...

I normally play mmo's and don't group that often, unless i really need to get an instance done. For example: I was playing Aion a couple weeks back and i just assembled a group to run the Nochsana Training Camp instance, levels 25-28, and we get to the portion where we need to kill the Aetheric Field Generator boss mob. We clear everything until we have only the boss and his 2 guardian mobs when, all of a sudden, the tank pulls the boss thus aggro-ing all 3 mobs at the same time and nearly wiped everyone out. He eventually just left the group and we successfully finished the instance.

I made it a point to never group with that guy again. He apparently didn't know what he was doing, or he was just full of himself.

I play a lot of ground war and Domination, and it seems every time i join a game i get put on the Losing team and they are lossing by a ton of points. I played a game just last night, Domination on Derail, my team had to most number of kills but the least points because i was the only one who cared if we won or not.

Have you ever been repeatedly placed on the team that's full of the most incompetent people on Earth? I am referring to online games, of course.

In WoW, this would be playing through an instance or raid with people you don't know, in Bf:BC2 or MW2, this would be like playing "Rush" or "Domination" and being forced to do all of the heavy lifting because everyone else is too busy caring about their K/D.

Maybe you're playing an online Co-op or team RTS game and you get paired with the guy who doesn't know how to build a barracks, much less build an army.

It's happened to all of us once before, but how and when did it happen to you?
Bad Company 2.
An entire full public lobby, the other team would plant the charges, and I would be the ONLY one going to defuse. I watched countless times as the timer was beeping, and the team just stood around staring at it.

This isn't quite the same, but a few days ago I was playing halo and ended up in a 1v4, me being the one against a truly terrible team. They still won, but their display of skill and sportsmanship was some of the worst i've seen. They only ever took me out if at least 3 of them ganged up on me, or if i'd just spawned and 2 of them got me before I could find a good weapon. And after EVERY SINGLE kill, they would group over me and teabag me as if it was some great accomplishment.
I find that most often, Halo players teabag you when they're losing rather than when they're actually doing well. It's like they're trying to convince themselves they aren't getting their asses kicked.

Yearss ago (well 2005-2006) I played Guild Wars. In Pre I kept stuck with people going for the survivor achievement, yet still wanted to go charr hunting.
It generally went like this, I would use a standard strategy to lure a small group of charr, my partner would run for it and I would be left out-numbered and die. I would then have to wait whilst they left through the gate and then come back in again. They would just refuse to get anywhere near the charr.

I hate it when people prefer their Kraft Dinner ratio over just having fun. Really gets to me.
If the team sucks, that prevents me from having fun.
Usually when someone is trying to improve their KD ratio, then they are no help to the team, which makes PrimoThePro a saaad paaandaaa.

In Halo 3 the generals always seem to be on the other team.
While the guy with three exp who's never played before in his life who's obviously in a party with someone else in the match is on your team. Especially when you're two experience from that rank-up.

Happens to me all the damn time, regardless of which game. That's why I usually don't play online.

Every single time I tried to play on Xbox Live. I've had it though, not playing online games on consoles anymore. Not that everyone on PC is smart and competent, but the chance that you get someguys who know what they're doing (or at least somewhat try) seems to be significantly higher.

Either way, happened so many times. From stupid terrorist spawn campers (on defuse maps) in CS, people who immediately leave in Command & Conquer if they have just one setback to complete idiots in a WoW-party at endgame.

Most recently, while playing BF:BC2. i jumped into the passenger seat on the Apache. Only to be told to "get out you fag" .I refused. And like the 4 year old he probably was; refused to take off until i got out.

And also in many FPS's (although i mainly play DoD: source)
Your sniping, you have a safe spot where no enemy can see you. And then out of no where, half your team is surrounding you, some noob is spraying half the map in MG fire, and some toss pot is standing in your line of fire, sniping people off with the MP40. And as you can imagine, half the team is instantly slayed by a single rocket from a Bazooka which everyone failed to see. -_-"

I always seem to end up with that team, no matter what I'm playing. I'm the guy who always comes up with proper tactics and strategy, that would work (and on the rare occasions when my team listen to my plans, they do work well and we usually win). Instead, my team usually fucks off and tries to 'pwn tehz n00bs' on the other team and end up being wiped out by an enemy team that does work together and does use decent strategy. It's bad enough when I'm playing FPSs online (usually Halo: Custom Edition, which despite being over 10 years old still has a very active online community on PC). It's even worse when playing RTSs online, especially Dawn of War, where the whole point is to use strategy. I can't begin to count the number of times my team have built up their own bases and left me defenceless, usually resulting in me having to struggle on my own when with a bit of help I could develop and get the best unit in the whole game (usually the Baneblade...) and make up for everything...

Bad Company 2 is rife with this. A friend of mine and I were playing Conquest last night and rather than help us capture the objectives our helpful squadmates decided to become TEAM SNIPES XL and set up shop on a rooftop for the whole match.
